Re: TWG Brand in the news for pesticides

I can't say I'm surprised. They market a tea that is covered in actual gold

Re: There's no point in rating teas

Tasting tea is so subjective that I really don't see any benefit in ratings either. I recently read a book that explained how part of what we taste is actually genetic. Certain people are more sensitive to particular chemicals in tea and some may not be able to detect them at all.

Re: What Black Are You Drinking

Today I'm drinking Kinnettle's Gold, a Scottish grown black tea sold bu Pekoe Tea. I've only got a 5g sample but I wish I had more to play around with. It was malty and sweet with a subtle fruitiness that I really enjoyed.

Da Hong Pao from Seven Cups. Perfect for a very frigid day. I'll be parked in front of the electric fireplace ;)

Re: mandala tea?

I'm personally a big fan, especially of their custom puerh pressings. They closed their webshop and only just recently reopened it so there's a lot less talk about them than there might have been a few years ago. Autumn Song, Temple Stairs, and WIld Monk are all teas that I've tried and enjoyed.

Re: Is studying tea history of any value?

There are many books about tea that repeat the same "facts" as every book that came before it (the legend of Shen Nong, etc.). Diving deeper int...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

Tonight I'm drinking Elegant Tranquility from Denong Tea. It's a fairly mellow tea but I MIGHT have over-leafed it just a bit this time. I purchased this cake from their booth at World Tea Expo 2016.

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello all! I'm pleasantly surprised to see how active this forum is already. How long have you been drinking tea? I've pretty much always been a tea drinker, being raised on Red Rose with milk and sugar. I got into tea more seriously in college and haven't turned back more than 10 years later. What ...
