Re: Alishan white tea 2016 winter harvest

Did it have sort of Apple notes and a reddish tea soup? That is what I got in the past from TW white teas. No It didn't. I find the sweet Apple note when I drink Alishan or Lishan oxidated around 30%. You can see the liquor colour in the last picture....complex to describe...a little bit brown/oran...

The sound of tea

I am a tea lover but also a musician.
Some days ago I have realized a short video brewing a yancha...I really love that sound... tea sound!
Enjoy!

Last saturday morning I drunk an Alishan oolong light oxidated; usually I drink this kind of tea fresh, but this one, aged 2 years, still has a great aroma and taste...!

I'm having the first dancong I could see myself drinking on a regular basis. It's not overly fruity or sweet as a lot I've had so far have been. There are some nutty notes that I really enjoy. It is the July 2018 duck shit dancong from the global tea hut monthly tea club.
Peach aroma?

Bai hao Yin Zhen 2017 from Panxi. Not a top grade but it's funny to discover different tasting notes changing a little bit the temperature.

Re: What Black Are You Drinking

I can imagine some epic tastiness between Dian Hong and Jin Jun Mei. Haha yes is a good tea. Sweet potato, choccolate, malt but with also a fruity note. I usually don't like vegetal notes in black teas but in this jin luo it was delicate and only over the 4th steep. After 1 year it was less vegetal...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

Alishan oolong from qingxin cultivar can be really powerful...I really like these teas. It's funny to taste the same leaves with a different oxidation.. 5%, 15%, 30%, 70%... the taste is really varoius.
