Re: Water Water Everywhere... What’s Your Water?
Hot take: I have terrible local tap water, so I remineralize RO water. There is a company called Tea Curious that sells packets of minerals meant for tea drinking, and so far I have had plesant experiences. I like that I can manually adjust the hardness/alkalinity of the water, so if the tea starts...

Enjoying Ethan’s Black Championship from 2019. Still very good even though pack has been open and clipped for a while. It’s still silky and viscous with honey notes from the bug bitten Lishan leaves. Thank you

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
Is that text AI generated? About 30% I guess, I write the tasting notes as I am drinking the tea, plug in the data and have an AI dress it up so that it reads a little more lively than me trying to make something sound interesting. …….. Generally, I do about 3 or so sessions adding or subtracting f...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
This trip back east I brought some ‘older’ teas to finish thinking I’d be very busy and distracted so didn’t want to bring my best primo stuff. Today I opened a vacuum sealed ‘Mountain Oolong Winter 2016’ from Mountaintea.com. Back then I gave their oolong a try because they’re based locally in Los ...

Likewise, some links for Japanese wares don’t work.

Re: 2023 Shincha Harvest tea recommendations?
Honestly I tend to just brew in whatever kyusu I am in the mood to use. I really don't think my taste buds are discerning enough to start distinguishing between clay types. With certain teas like Japanese Leaf gram/ Water ml/ Temp/ Time ratios are most important factors. Teaware is hugely important...
