Re: Design for tea cake
Do you have a cake in general you want drawn and will there be a tie to a Zodiac animal or another forest creature? I am sure there would be many who may even be able to draw a wrapper or label that you could produce as well. no, not really. We have a new blend coming in within few weeks. The wrapp...

Aged puer CNNP BuLang
I am letting loose of a tong of this tea. Actually 6 cakes. It is hard to verify the age as CNNP used these labels for a 3 year run I think. I am going to call them early 2000's. Same one as in this link from another site. Cost will be $105.00 per cake before shipping. US shipping as EU and others g...

Re: XG 8653 Thick paper
Jumping on this thread being revived. Mopar, is it the iron cake version? Is that the only January, thick paper version there is? I'm not familiar with the production. -Matt Hey Matt, It is the early Iron thick paper cake. I think they were all pressed between January and March with the thick paper...

Re: Cloud in Tea Soup
I think they are referring to the steam above the cup. It doesn't make a tea good or bad if it doesn't have it. More about enjoying the drink is the most important thing.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
mrmopu Thanks mrmopu! I haven’t unwrapped the Shou cakes yet. The ingredients for the big cakes should be a bit from the small cake. Hope that’s will be as good as the small one. Cheers 🍵 I hope they are. From what I understood there was a big emphasis on the Centennial production. I have only had ...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
DailyTX I heard that breaking the tea cake into pieces (醒茶) can fasten the waking process too. And thus I had broken few cakes into pieces and stored them into different tea jars. But to be honest, I haven't done any comparison between them so I don't know if it really works. Going back to the foru...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Looking good yinyautong - I've also been lusting after more T8653 as I ran out of my last 2005 cake quite a while ago. It definitely has a signature taste. I'm comparing some 2006 and 2012 Xiaguan Yushang Gongtuo today. The 2012 stuff is still leather and artichoke, but has a very good energy and t...

Hope you get feeling better and heal soon. I am recovering from a couple broken places in my spine. Finally back to work but was a hard road to start with.

Re: Storage Failure
Not sure if it counts as a storage failure or a shipping failure, but I would recommend that if you are buying teas from someone and are including a traditionally-stored pu'er, order that one on its own, even if it involves separate shipping costs -- the classic packaging for this tea does nothing ...

XG 8653 Thick paper
I am looking into getting some 2005 XH 8653 thick paper. This means the tea was pressed in January and is a much better product that the thin layer. Tea has Taiwan storage on it. Pricing per cake before shipping will be $110.00 -105.00 range. I think with a larger purchase we can hit the lower price...

Re: Puerh from sthirtytea.com
Chadrinkincat Glad it helped! Yep, to reiterate Bok, it doesn't seem like there's any way around that issue unfortunately... TW shipping to US seems quite expensive and why I waited so long to place my first TWL order. I noticed that Sandy's site has free shipping if your order is over 10,000 TWD, ...
