Re: Yamada Sou Mayake Kyusu
Perfect size for me. I would love to get it but I already bought two sou's and one zhuni pot in the past month so my wallet needs a break. If it is going to be still available in a few months, you can PM me.
thnx.

Re: High-quality tea subscriptions?
From my recollection essence of tea's tea club seems to fit that bill.. Thanks a lot for the pointer. I have very, very little experienced puerh (and I probably never tasted anything of decent quality), but maybe that would be a good way to get my feet wet in a way that is less intimidating. There ...

Re: High-quality tea subscriptions?
thetea.pl has a really nice subscription if you like to get to know better different varieties of tea. Usually you get 3 types of tea from young to aged pu erhs to oolongs, liu bao, red teas and so on. I do prefer essenceoftea club a bit more because it is one tea per month so I can spend more time ...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
I am currently drinking 2019 Songboling Jin Xuan Gui Fei oolong from thetea.pl. Raw, unroasted version. Although I prefer the roasted version of the same tea more, this one is really tasty too. I caught a lot of flowery/honey notes but even greener notes. The session was also special to me because I...

Re: Black Friday 2019 deals?
Essence Of Tea are having the same deal as last year. Between Friday 29th and Monday 2nd they are giving 15% extra tea of any kind to your order based on the value of your order. For subscribers of their tea club, they are giving 20% extra tea.

Re: Yamada family seal chops and signatures
^Sorry to hear that Lukav :( hope she's able to make it right somehow. Do you mind telling me how you went about contacting her? There's something (small) I've been having my eyes on sou's, but I don't know what the best way to reach her is. I contacted her via email written on her website (I think...

Re: Yamada family seal chops and signatures
@Victoria this helps a lot. Thank you. Weird as this is the second item I received in the past week that cracked during the transport. The other being some yixing cups I received with a teapot from Yinchen.

Re: Yamada family seal chops and signatures
I don’t know if this is the right thread for this but it is the largest Yamada thread so yeah ... Not so happy day for me today after all. I was really looking forward to receive my first Yamada pots, shudei and blue one. Sadly the handle of the blue one break during the transfer. I am devastated :(...

Re: What's the best tea for a sensitive stomach?
I have problems with green tea and young sheng if I drink them on an empty stomach. Red tea is nicer to my stomach so I tend to drink it at job If I hadn’t had time for breakfast.

pedant I almost forgot. Oxo gooseneck kettle was a part of a lot of comparison tests alongside Bonavita and EKG. It was recognized as the best option on a lot of those tests too. Sadly only available in the USA. Some of the + features are fastest heat time, 30 minutes temperature hold, built-in tim...

Re: European Teaware
lUKAV28thanks for the feedback! Glaze is not glaze, I had bad experience with crackle glazed pieces from Japan in the past... I suspect it has to do with at what temperature a tea is brewed. Did you find good use for them? Firstly I suspected the water as I used filtered (waterlogic hybrid) when br...

Re: Hokujo teaware
His sons stuff is not as nice I feel, has a tendency to add “kitschy” adornments to his pots, less balanced as well. Haven’t seen nor feel them in person but judging from the pictures alone they always seemed odd to me. When you add the fact that he uses the same clay and values the pots similarly ...
