Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

Drinking an unknown Sheng pearl. It tastes nice and clean with a nasty dank flavor that I’m growing to crave now lol. Probably bad storage???

My brewed leaves have been in my gaiwan for a few hours now. Can I brew them again tomorrow morning and not get sick???

Hoping I can...

Re: KingTeaMall

I look forward to using my new yixing pot. It looks very nice and I’m sure it will hold hot water just fine. As long as there is no lead, arsenic, Mercury, cadmium etc. in it and it’s safe I’m happy. I’ll post my thoughts after I do a fast break-in and run some of those puerh samples through it. I o...

Re: Yunnan Sourcing

Im not a chemist but apparently it has something to do with the water ( actually with minerals / salts in it ). There is some reaction there which makes the water taste sweeter , softer or whatever "better" ? In Kunming I see many shops ( and more in Dali ) selling small silver patted bottles for d...

Re: Yunnan Sourcing

from a friend who likes silver but doesn't use forums much: Interesting question Idk if shu and silver would be ideal, but it should work quite well in essence: if gaiwan is a neutral light, and yixing a dim light, then silver is a bright light. it brightens everything and makes the taste sharper/m...

Re: Yunnan Sourcing

you could try emailing Scott (the owner) about the purity. no clue if he's had them independently tested or if a CoA was provided by the studio that made them. There was a photo of the COA but I don’t really trust it coming from China...plus I can’t read it or verify that the coa is legit either. I...

Yunnan Sourcing

I just placed a big order of mostly ripe puerh from yunnansourcing. From 1990 up to 2004. I’m new in the puerh world so looking to try a wide range. I am fairly certain my taste gravitates towards puerh the most. It just tastes more interesting to me (even just the 2 I’ve tried were worlds apart). H...

Re: Global Tea Hut

We just discussed GTH Blue Mark. It is good; https://www.teaforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=13473#p13473 Thanks! Had my eye on this for a while, but your review made me finally pull the trigger. I guess this week all "donations" to GTH are doubled, so it was the right time to go for it. Oh nice, let us k...

Re: Blue Mark

Zhuni and porcelain should not be very different in their effect on tea. Zhuni is famous because it as dense and impermeable as - porcelain. P.S. just checked, doesn’t matter, at that price sold it is highly unlikely to be real Zhuni, so all bets are off as to how it will perform. It’s not real Zhu...

KingTeaMall

I just wanted to give a quick impression on this vendor. I asked a question through kingteamall website and it directed me to the owners FB messenger (John). He was very helpful answering all of my questions and made some suggestions. I also ordered a yixing pot. YIXING TEAPOT “SHUI PING HU” (HORIZO...

Blue Mark

I blind ordered a full cake of Blue Mark from Global Tea Hut. I realize this is a replica but read in another thread a few members talking about how good it was. It’s supposedly late 90’s early 2000’s (marketed as a 2000) at $100 but to me the important thing was trying what others considered a good...

Re: Mei leaf

I’ll just order some of the best they have to offer and compare it to the vendors I’ve been ordering from. That will give me an idea of if meileaf is above or below that range. Don’t forget to order a Shamwow. B0578DE5-EEA5-4497-80BC-BF393C58EC2E.jpeg j/k I know you reeeeally need the attention and...

Re: Mei leaf

A friend of mine died last year of stomach cancer and I wonder if it was because she had to sample bad teas to curate high quality teas. You asked for an opinion and many were given: sleazy marketing practices, mediocre tea quality, misinformation, deception, etc. Just how badly do you want to look...

Re: Mei leaf

You should listen to this guy with regards to buying what he's saying. that just seems silly considering they are TRYING TO SELL THE TEA! No idea of the quality of his teas, no desire to do business with someone who I know I can't trust which is where I'm at from patently silly claims like his 1600...
