Re: In Search of Teapots

I suppose you don't have tons of experience with Yixing/Nixing wares yet in light of which, the best advice is to stay put and study Yixing topic here carefully until you get some sense of the matter. You'd get some of your questions answered there as well. Without proper studying the topic before h...

2020 shui lian dong rougui from the sweetest dew.
@LeoFox, have or anybody else here tried his 2013 DHP? I'd likely get on with it anyway, but hearing other's feedback is a nice endeavor in itself :)

Re: What is the sweetest tea you have tried?

I suppose that was too broad of a preference to come up with suggestions. And then the exact notion of sweetness you have in mind is likely an important factor too. As an aside, I'd be curious to hear anybody shed some insights as to how many if at all can there be actual sugar molecules in these dr...

Re: Yixing

Can you take pictures from more angles? Due to shadows it’s hard to judge if those are cracks or just clay left over from the scraping of the bottom, like it looked like on your other picture. The best way to tell is by touch, which only you can do. Does the surface feels smooth or does it have bum...

Re: Yixing

I've been complaining recently about what I see as a subpar craftsmanship on a modern zhuni pot, that has a craquelure inside on the bottom. I'd love to hear your opinion about it.

@Youzi, does yours look the same?

Do you have picture of the crack?
Here's the best close up I have right now, a bunch of tiny cracks.

I remember you have a twin sibling of this pot. Hope you fare with yours better than I did with mine!

Passing along modern tuition pots

I feel bad for offering less than stellar teaware to you, but I got a couple tuition pots that I got all the tuition worth out of and maybe they can do some such service to others trying modern clays. 1. A 90ml modern zhuni lixing. Has small cracks inside on the very bottom, (they look like a thin t...

Re: Nannuo Mountain (南糯山)

Gracias, Koveee , for the article! I've been basking in couple teas from Banpo village this summer but had no success pinpointing the place on the maps. The ones that I had where truly delicious, sweet in a humble way, honey and flowers here and there. Though I cherished them more for the deep, beau...

Mu-a-ha-ha-ha  Sorry, I meant you came to the right place, just let's see what it'll be for you a year from now =). Also I'll be having a second trial of 90's green mark from thetea.pl which looked plenty tasty the other day.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

I want to share with you the remedy for dealing with heat waves, a 2018 sheng from Ban Po that I got from Mark a.k.a. Puerist. I came to have a bunch of peculiar anecdotes related to teas from this place, but first the practical side. It looks simple to the taste though a rich composition affords en...

We’re you planning on storing tea in that colossal jar :) 🍃
Maybe it's better suited for airing teas out? Just need to be carefull not to use it for white teas, or it might get lost in there =).
