Re: Copper diffusers with iron kettles
The company is “Bella Copper” here in the U.S. they have different sizes. They’re a little pricey, but if you have a use for them go for it. The owner is very nice and will explain everything about them. I use mine quite a bit as you can see from the spotting. They have a You Tube channel and the we...

Re: Using just brewed tea to coat your teaware
Patina’s the key. Maybe it will make them look a little “antiquish”.

Using just brewed tea to coat your teaware
I have heard somewhere that giving your teaware a shower with already brewed tea is good for it regardless of the material used to make it. Has anyone else heard of this or was I given some misinformation?

Copper diffusers with iron kettles
I have an iron kettle that I use for boiling water. Everyone says not to use an open gas flame when boiling for fear that it will cause rust in the future. I also have a set of copper diffusers that I sometime use when I am cooking with my CI pots and pans. My question is if I use them when I boil w...

Room temp water vs. refrigerated water
I use Zero Water filtered water in my tetsubins while boiling. Sometimes I use refrigerated water to boil. Am I risking cracking my CI kettle in using the cold water. Should I just use room temp water? Would there be any difference in the taste of the water?

What teas are easy on the stomach
I have an acid reflux problem and am trying to determine which teas, if any, would be easier on my situation. I know they all contain some amount of acids, but would be interested in knowing which ones contain less than others. Probably the herbals and the rooibos teas rank among the gentler ones.ma...

Re: Caffeine effects
How did it taste after your experience? Could you tell the difference if you would have brewed with the smaller pot?

Caffeine effects
I have a caffeine intolerance that seems to be more pronounced when I’m drinking puerhs and oolongs. I like to brew them gong fu style and have been trying to adjust my technique. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I really like to drink them. Thanks.

Re: Coating inside my new tetsubin water kettle
Does it affect the taste of the water? Can it eventually flake off? I guess the iron benefit of the water is extremely diminished or gone completely? Thank you.

Coating inside my new tetsubin water kettle
I just purchased a nice tetsubin and noticed a shiny lacquer looking substance on the inside of it. I know it’s not enamel but am wondering what it is. I’ve been in touch with the seller and he said it’s a rust prohibitive substance that wouldn’t affect the taste of the boiled water after the break-...

Caffeine reduction in tea
Is it possible to maybe reduce the amount of caffeine in tea by doing pre rinses before brewing. I have a caffeine sensitivity and would be interested if anyone had tried this.

Nixing clay tea pots
Can anyone give me the nuts and bolts about nixing clay tea pots. I think I need to get me at last one maybe two of them. I particularly like the different colors blending into the pots. Mud and leaves has a nice selection of them. Are they based in China?
