Re: When to ask for a refund on lost shipment

Thank you, sir! That was very helpful. I can see that this is going to cause a lot of headaches for people receiving tea, sometimes small samples from vendors. I've received tea samples unexpectedly with shipments of durable goods. Ya that's going to be a real hassle. At least we have a year till i...

Re: Alternatives to tea jars for airing out roasted teas

https://teaware.house/collections/tools-and-tea-accessories?page=2 Currently 3 tea jars of 150ml and one of 280ml volume in stock for $8 and $13 respectively. Small sizes should be fine for airing out as you can keep the bulk of the tea in the original packaging and air out a little for immediate d...

Alternatives to tea jars for airing out roasted teas

Title and also do any of you know of any online retailers that sell tea jars in the 20-30$ range? Bitterleaf has some but there a bit pricey and was hoping to get one a little cheaper.

Re: Teapot encyclopedia

i have one as well. if an english version is ever printed, i'd buy it in a heartbeat. i've heard that a translation is in the works, but i sort of remember someone saying that it's a long way off and won't be printed until the current edition is all sold. Damn, I guess it was foolish to assume it w...

Re: Help me match my pots with some tea

I'd go: medium roast Wuyicha/TGY for the smallest (not Taiwanese TGY though). Dancong and black tea would also work well in it. high mountain oolong in the middle-sized ones, or balled oolongs with larger sessions, but nothing very high roast. This pot could also be used for dry storage sheng Big o...

Re: Aging puerh: what is your setup?

Depends how you define wet storage. I've more recently seen people refer to all teas stored in Southern China/Southeast Asia/Taiwan as wet storage. Nonsense, dry storage started in HK! To me wet storage means actually artificially inflating humidity, sometimes by literally pouring water on the tea!...
