Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

2014 Menghai V93 for me this morning. First time diving in to this one. Fairly mild, a bit of wood/mushroom on the palate. Slight astringency being that this is a lighter fermentation ripe. One thing that really stood out was how easily this tuo came apart. It is obvious that the compression levels ...

Sadly, I could likely guess the vendor where I am personae non grata and am all but named public enemy number one on their "about our store" page.
Wow... Some of us definitely remember that situation!!! One particular OTTI comes to mind.

Re: Show Off Your Pets

No pets here per se... I do, however, have a fluffle of rabbits roaming around behind my house... (how many knew that was an actual term?)

Here is a shot of some found last week.

Re: What Green Are You Drinking

OK... So I am not proud of this but it seems I must play a round of "Infuse or Refuse" . As I was digging in the depths of my tea cabinet today I happened across a brand new, unopened bag of Organic Shizouka Tenryu Misakubo. How this one slipped by me I have no idea, but it is what it is. Bare in mi...

Re: SHINCHA 2019!

Ahhh well. The impulse bug has bitten again. I have been looking at some yunomi from Hibiki-An for a while now that have a lovely matsuba design on them that matches my kyusu. Late night browsing led to late night purchasing. Somehow a few selections of shincha ended up in my cart... How could that ...

2014 YS Impressions. This is my first go at Sheng so I really have no frame of reference. It has noticeable astringency but from what I gather that is to be expected.

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

Today I am finishing up the sample of Floating Leaves 2019 Hehuanshan from the blind tasting. This was my least favorite of the three. I still thought it was good my first couple of tastings, however this session is developing really nicely. Perhaps it is growing on me.

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello. I've been drinking a handful of years. I'm from the southern united states and I dislike sweet tea,so before I moved, it was tisane only for me. I gravitate towards sencha, high mountain oolongs, pretty tippy whites, and matcha. Lots of matcha. Also, yancha and young sheng, on occasion. I ta...

Re: Electric Kettles

If coin isn't an issue there are always variable temperature kettles and water boilers that have built in "Hold Temperature" functions. The bonavita already has that function so maybe the OP isn’t leaving the kettle on the base between steeps. Ahhhh yes. Good catch. I didn't notice the brand. I bel...
