Re: Water filtration
Ethan Kurland, do you happen to have the part number for the filters you are using. A search on the name from your earlier posts pulls up various filters with that same name. Filters I am using were bought from FiltersFirst.com. They are CeraPlus @9511201 (2" x 7"). I have them in a Big Berkey. The...

Re: Water filtration
I returned to the use of ceramic filters. The last time I purchased filters, I bought a different brand which seem to work the same as Big Berkey's except the water goes through quicker. I stopped mixing water filtered with the ceramic filters with spring water. I taste no difference. I think before...

debunix,
How could you forget to mention who made the tea boat (or should it be called a tea tray)?
When you wrote "snowflake" I pictured big snowflakes on the side of the cup, then the photograph shows the tiny white dots that sparkle. Looks pretty. Thanks for the post.

Re: Popularity of Tea - Forums and other Outlets
I thought this forum is built only by tea enthusiasts not also the vendor. The tea enthusiasts who built this place allow vendors to be participants, but the founding enthusiasts are not vendors and not profiting from this forum. Or perhaps for some we should say, "... this place allows participant...

Re: I made a video on Huang Shan Mao Fengs being on the market too early
I was incorrect in saying "flavorless". After it had cooled to room temperature (& after I had posted), I drank more & it did have some flavor which was okay for me who does not drink green tea usually & probably more than okay for those who do. I am not saying the other tea was bad. I am not someon...

Re: A bunch of hand made Bi Luo Chun I wont drink
Bi Luo Chon: Strongest green flavor + nuclear green reminding me a kid tasting a strong vegetable that he might love as an adult but cannot eat as a kid. Huang Shoul Mao Feng: No flavor. Please excuse lack of comments. I do not drink green tea. I can imagine those who do saying the Bi Luo Chon is gr...

Re: I made a video on Huang Shan Mao Fengs being on the market too early
I just drank Huang Shoul Mao Feng sent to me by Sweetestdew. 2 grams steeped in 120 ml of 96C water for a minute = flavorless. 2nd infusion steeped for 2 minutes = flavorless. The other tea Bai Mu ---- was exact opposite. Strongest nuclear green flavor that I don't want to comment on, because I do n...

Re: I made a video on Huang Shan Mao Fengs being on the market too early
gong dao beis: one pours the liquid out & lets the leaves (or almost all of them) remain, yes? Not so different than when I use a porcelain bowl or perhaps some people's grandpa style brewing if they drink quickly enough to let the initial steeping time be the main determinant of how the infusions t...

Re: A bunch of hand made Bi Luo Chun I wont drink
I received the Bi Luo Chun this afternoon. How nice to have this come to Boston on a gloomy day when large white snowflakes are starting to stick as the temperature drops to freezing temperature! Good to be cheered up when so much news is bad. I thank Sweetest Dew for sending this tea inside a prett...

Hehuan Black Tea from me via Taiwan: I have written about this tea before on this thread & in my vendor list so look there for more info if it is wanted. Just a note to say it is example for me of getting one's preferred parameters correct. Steeeped 20 - 30 seconds for me in water that is 95 or 96 C...

Good ? Getting the answer is a challenge because thickness and shape of teaware also effect brewing.

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
The close-up photograph of the 4 full leaves & 2 short leaves (cut or just starting to grow) shows all of these leaves coming from: 1. 1 stem: or, 2. or if that stem was cut or broken in its middle, the top 2 full leaves would have had their own stem. This situation can lead to the different opinion...
