Re: For Shui Ping lovers with small pockets...
I'll probably get slammed for this, but... If looking at teapots as tools for brewing, rather than for their collector/resale value, I think Factory pots are largely over-hyped. I have several modern pots from private studios that tend to outperform my F1 and F2 teapots. I'm not talking very expensi...

Thinner porcelain. Or just use slightly cooler water than right off the boil.

Re: What kind of pot do you think works best for black teas?
Black meaning red, or meaning hei cha?
If you're looking to focus on higher fruity notes then you want porcelain or glazed ceramic. Clay will round out some of the higher fruity notes.

You are definitely top of the waiting list for that pot, don't worry. I actually keep an eye out for similar ones for you, but never see any. Are y...

Funky Contemporary Yixing?
I just bought this teapot online tonight, so these aren't my pics. Apologies for the low resolution and lack of a decent chop photo. I really don't know much about contemporary Yixing, but this was quite cheap, and I've never seen one like it. It's supposed to measure a bit over 5" wide and 4.5" tal...

Re: FS- Several Yixing Teapots
Pot 6 - $110 95cc qingshuini Rou Bing. Excellent clay and med-high firing. Good lid fit with long skirt. Single hole filter, but I have since installed a custom 99% pure silver wire filter (can be removed). Not sure of the era, but it's not a Factory pot. Likely 90's. Strong pour. Would be a killer...
