Re: How do you choose what tea to drink?
Also, there's the added bit about going into the breakroom and chiping off pieces unidentifiable green matter and then drinking the results. After doing that for a while I found out that all my coworkers thought I was doing weed at work. Even better if it was a brick! As for me, sometimes I'...

Re: Water Water Everywhere... What’s Your Water?
I don't know if this should be a whole new topic, but what is everyone's thoughts on "structured water". I read somewhere about the guy from Mei Leaf mentioning he used reverse osmosis and a Grander water system https://www.grander.com/intl-en/ . Now I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I'm very sk...

Re: Whole room humidifiers for storing puerh?
I can't comment on whole room storage, but if you have radiators you can use one of these to increase humidity: https://goo.gl/images/rzt2RY I don't really know what they're called in English. You basically fill them with water and hang them to the radiator. They work well if the room is not too big.

Re: The (Western) Yixing market
Just a heads up, They did just get back to me! They are asking 1800 SGD which comes to just over $1300 USD. And just a little over 1100€! Might as well give it away for free! On a more serious note, thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. The Yixing world (both Western and Chinese) still...

If by Asia you mean Japan it may have been genmaicha, which has literal rice in it.

Re: Water Water Everywhere... What’s Your Water?
I have a notoriously acute sense of smell. My son told me today that it sounds like a curse— and it can be— but it’s a wonderful gift when drinking tea or eating. Aromas have dimensions to them that are hard to explain. It’s an almost synesthesia-like experience for me. It's the same for me. Living...

Re: Water Water Everywhere... What’s Your Water?
At my place I filter tap water with a Brita. Our acqueduct water is arguably one of the best in the country, but the building I live in is quite old, and water straight out of the tap is too heavy. Sometimes I also use water from the many drinking fountains in the city. Exceptional with pu'erhs, not...

Drinking the mysterious "cooked Ban Zhang". Overwhelming caramel taste and aroma, light earthy notes underneath. Happiness is a cup of a shou in a cold winter evening.
