Re: Yixing

@filipes
This looks like a nice pot but it doesn’t look like F1 to me either. I vaguely remember someone else posting (here or on TC) a very similar pot from Jing which was late 90-00’s. That would be my guess for this one too.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

I’m enjoying another session with the 2004 XG FT 8653 3+1 from The Jade Leaf. This has become a favorite of mine for daily drinking which is why this cake is almost gone. My ROC zini pot really brings out the pine resin notes. I think this batch is worth serious consideration If someone is in the m...

Ah, possible! For reference the lid skirt is like this:

That is a beautiful pot. Every time I see a pot like this, I’m confused why I like factory pots so much.

Re: Yixing tea pot,Gujingzhou shui ping tea pot,The master

+1 it's quite hard to tell... based on the underside of the lid, I'd say some type of qingshuini... but Gu Jingzhou did not put arabic numerals under the lid as far as I know. You start seeing those kinds of numerals in Factory 1 pots from the 1980s. ....but Gu jingzhou did not..........Sorry, I ju...

Re: Yixing

Speaking of clays, what are peoples thoughts on this one? Texture feels kinda silky. Hongni, fine qingshuni or some just some generic zisha blend? ./download/file.php?id=10523 ./download/file.php?id=10522 It looks like qingshuini. Note that the term is a bit generic, for modern pots it mostly means...

How many black star zini pots do you have now? Any of them taking on a nice patina yet?

@DailyTX

Ill post more photos once I clean it. Seems like the previous owner kept in in a moldy basement.

What size is that pot? The proportions seem a bit odd to me.

Re: Yixing

Andrew S I mainly used mine for HK stored puerh and occasionally dry storage. It was dirty as hell but worked great until one day it didn’t. I forgot to clean it out in a timely manner a few too many times towards the end which is probably the reason every tea started having notes of moldy blue che...
