As there doesn't seem to be much interest in this, I've decided just to go ahead and keep the set
Maybe I'll find a few good teas to finally match it with!

Re: Heating Elements
I've been thinking of getting an infrared plate for a few years now, but have held off because of the price(hario is 300 and hario "style" is somewhat over 100). But I'd like to trying out some clay kettles so... Has anyone noticed any noise problems with the new Taiwanese ones? The electric heater ...

But that last pic is a little scary!
Hope the lid is secure enough holding it that way

Re: How much will you spend on tea this year?
One Jin can last me maybe two months at the most. That sounds right for my current consumption too. I'm in the ameature leagues compared to you guys  And that's just tea exclusively just for your own use too? Makes me feel like I should start drinking more than I do. Maybe I'll relax a little ...

Re: How much will you spend on tea this year?
And it's been that way since the beginning too! Nothing has really changed much aside from our access to more tea and teaware over time. Always humbling to think about how many teas/teawares I've been able to use and try since I've gotten more serious about tea(since 18 I guess but have been drinkin...

Re: Hokujo teaware
How did you end up doing it? I've never had a side-handle teapot that size before.. so the only way I can imagine holding it is between my first two fingers between the handle and my thumb on the top. yeah I'm still debating on whether or not I should pull the trigger on one.. so we'll see. I should...

Re: How much will you spend on tea this year?
You people are all so wealthy!
I spend around only 100 or so a year on tea... but I only drink Sencha and am mostly a solo drinker so I'm guessing that may be the reason between the "discrepancies" of what I spend vs everyone else
