Re: Yixing
New pot, just arrived today. 60s hongni shuiping 85ml. The seller actually told me it's from 58, the start of factory 1 but idk how you'd verify that. Haven't tested firing yet, soaking in water now. Will probably use for aged sheng. OMG, it is beautiful. The puffy body, the balanced proportions wh...

I think so too, but I also double checked with steanze and dr lu. It wasn't cheap so I wanted to be sure.

C46F0D65-A45E-4D69-82EE-1877884F428A.jpeg Had 1940’s Liu An from Essence of Tea. Initial rinses smelled lovely, like space ice cream. Initial tastings were like cacao nib, and it ended I guess a sweet cacao nib note. Nice, my favorite part was the smell of the initial rinses. Shine those are some p...
Re: Hagi
Inspired debunix post earlier in the thread I picked up a kairagi tea bowl by the same artist, Mukuhara Kashun as well as a guinomi made by him.

Admiring that beautiful setting from here as well. The interplay between glazed walls of the cup, unglazed red pot, and unglazed dark base of the cup keeps the eye moving and refreshed. Today I'm starting with a session of Tsuen Floating Dreams Bridge gyokuro, prepared with Petr Novak teaware. It's...

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bf2jVRalMd4/ Xiaguan love forever. Really tasty tea. I'm not good at tasting notes but I'd say maybe plums and wood on this one. Not so much qi, but I actually liked that as I'm not always in the mood for a qi heavy tea. I think I'll cake this one at some point if it does...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
This is a really special one. Balhyocha noeul, Korean oolong. The tasting note on the package says cacao, charred oak (idk about charred oak but there's a very nice roast flavor) and honey and that's pretty spot on. Rich and sweet, intoxicating aroma, thick, and long lasting aftertaste. I've only t...

Re: Pumidor discussion
Hey I thought I'd add a picture of my pumidor, incase anyone's interested. You can also see the temp (bottom) and humidity (top) it's at atm.
Edit: is the picture showing up, all I'm seeing is a picture of an old guy, maybe an advertisement? The link is right.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Gushu yiwu 09 sample from puerh.sk. This tea is apparently made by the producer in the Puerh tea ancient caravans and urban chic, the guy in the videos that accompany the book. Based off that, I had to try a sample. Being 8-9 years old now, it has a slightly aged taste, woody. It also has some sweet...

Re: Would you guys pay this much for a chawan?
Om, Akira Satake chawan, yunomi and guinomi are worth their price and more. He is a master at his craft, as are many others mentioned in TeaForum. To hold a masterpiece in your hand is an elevating experience. Not feeling the vibe though with song tea collection. Victoria, could you name some of th...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
Interesting observation, I had the tea again this morning, and also tested my nangao (might have spelled that wrong) pot against a gaiwan. Nangao thicker but less flavorful, gaiwan thinner but more sweet flavorful. When I got to the fourth steep that flavor came up, which was a sort of tart bitter f...
