Re: Puerh vendor topic

Approach with caution. I would sample first maybe. The older stuff can be very hard to identify if you weren't around when it was produced to learn what is what. For that kind of $ you could get some good stuff from a couple of other vendors. W2T and Essence of Tea have some excellent teas for near ...

Re: There's no point in rating teas

I review somewhat but as for numericals it has been a while since I put a number on a tea. I used to never drink sheng and then I found some that agreed with me allowing me to branch out as well. I find I change from year to year as I explore new regions.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

Also do people here brew these small bits of their puer or leave them off? I always keep them out because I feel like they will just make the brew more bitter. 7E563209-7DC7-4867-8871-345797EF76BC.jpeg I use a soil sifter for bonsai trees to salvage the big bits of leaf. They go into a jar as my ho...

I had a puer from Yiwu. I forgot the name of the village, but it started with a G and it’s higher up on Yiwu Mountain.

Does anyone know what the village is called? The puer was really good.
Gaoshan? Or Gua Feng Zhai?

Re: Pumidor discussion

My apartment is normally 80F, but 27% humidity in the winter (according to my new hygrometer). Putting Boveda packs into crocks did not work, the packs are already dried out 2 weeks later. The crocks are too porous. Putting your puer into crocks is a bad idea based on my experience, I regret follow...

Re: KingTea-Chinese Puerh tea, Oolong Cha

Hi, I’ m John, owner of tea shop “King Tea”. Always I feel I am just like the man who were walking on the “Silk Road” or “Tea & Horse Ancient Road(Cha Ma Gu Dao)”in ancient worlds with many companions(other tea sellers). Is it a job to me to earn money for my own family living? Sure. But to me, it ...

Having 2010 Boyou Hong Yun Impression, if I’m reading mrmopar’s handwriting correctly. This one is weird — I’m getting dry pulled pork and strawberry notes. I’ve also made some good progress on my water coloring since this morning. https://i.imgur.com/Y7qwrzW.jpg It can be an interesting one ...

I'm sure others can attest to this, but liquidproust is legit. Offers samples of hard to find teas. Agreed. I know where he sources and sometimes we find stuff together. He is very legit and has a passion for helping the tea community. If you don't wanna tell, no problem, but where does he source h...

Re: Pumidor discussion

Aging seems to be maintaining with some results being shown more with the sheng. Does this mean that the teas are aging? Also, does the mini fridge work best for you or do you find one of the other storage solutions is giving the best results? Have you tried boveda packs? They are appealing to me b...
