At home I don’t ordinarily drink black tea but .... when in Rome ..... Actually I’m in India, in Jaipur, so I’m having chai on the front terrace of our hotel. I expected a spiced tea but I’m very happy with the plain black tea steeped with milk that I was served.

That shuixian was something I purchased to test out for potential sale as a budget shuixian offering, but I felt it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I did like the shuixian more than some of the wholesaler's other Wuyicha offerings, however....

Perhaps this isn’t what you want to hear, but my solution to making yancha affordable is to steep it in very small pots. My favorite pots for yancha are 65 ml and 30 ml.
