Re: Hagi

Beautiful TeaWares. Chip and I drink from our Hagi almost daily. Hopefully soon he will share some pictures.
(My photography skills are lacking at best and would not do justice to our beautiful cups.)

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello fellow TeaLovers. For those of you who may not know, yes, I am Chip's wife. How long have you been drinking tea? Since 2008 I have been enjoying tea daily with Chip at our TeaTable. We rarely miss a morning session. What kind of tea do you drink? Japanese greens are the teas of choice at our h...

I could have served them Hawaiian Wedding Cake Ginger Mint Tropical Black Tea and they would have been just as happy.

Re: Your ideal cup shape for green tea?

I prefer more of the wabi-sabi styles in my cups, like the kutsugata. But we have other styles too, like the Wan -gato

Re: Your ideal cup shape for green tea?

Chip and I prefer guinomi size cups, artisan usually with a lot of texture. We prefer smaller cups, approx. 3 ounces each for our greens, even smaller for gyokuro.

Chip brews sencha in small quantities.
I am sure he will chime in with corrections or additions

Re: Quality

I agree with Bok, any scientific backing on "I heard it from a source that knows"?

Statements like that should be backed up with source, studies, etc.

Re: Hagi

There is a lot going on on this new forum right now, so give Chip some time  On a side note: I am currently sipping sake out o...
