Re: Anyone drink tea while gaming?
Sure do - tea made a good partner with games like Undertale, Disco Elysium and Persona 4 Golden. Lately have been playing on the Switch moreso than PC, JRPGs mostly (Ys VIII, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Final Fantasy XII, etc.).

Let us all strive to feed and support the growth of Amazon so that it can spread its far-reaching tendrils to belewfripp's locale. Great Cthulhu Amazon is set for delivery tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm happy about that or not - I've heard many negative things about their work conditions and m...

Re: What teas are easy on the stomach
I also have reflux and have had different medications as well as self-medicated changes to diet and sleeping habits. Mine was somewhat more difficult to detect because it produced no real "heartburn" issues and wasn't diagnosed until I started having trouble swallowing. The advice you've already got...

Re: Water Water Everywhere... What’s Your Water?
Would be interested to hear your chemist's perspective extraction of catechins vs amino acids vs more lipophilic compounds that contribute to aromas, texture and flavors. As for the empirical water, I think that would largely depend on a person's taste in tea which may not be aligned universally. N...

Re: Water Water Everywhere... What’s Your Water?
I haven't had time to go through and read the entire thread yet, but I wanted to say I really love the research and information posted that I've read so far, especially the "recipe" for water from Empiral Tea's blog that Teasecret reported on. My municipal water is pretty hard, especially in the win...

Re: white2tea
I've ordered from White2tea a couple of times. On the plus side of the ledger, I really enjoy his white teas - the 2020 Zero Sum in particular was very nice, and the 2019 Milan loose leaf was also good. And his 2002 "Yiwu" Huangpian sheng brick is quite alright given the low price (driven in part by...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
You are welcome. Usually, with Taiwan aged teas, what is crucial is very hot water each steep. And often actually a little less leaf, but longer steeps. But of course, it always depends on the individual tea. I also use certain Zini or Wuni (reduction fired) clays to filter out some of the storage ...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
Sounds and looks pretty much like what I would expect from a typical aged Taiwanese oolong. Bare in mind that most are quite boring – in the overwhelming majority! To find a good aged Taiwan oolong is a bit like a lottery, no matter how old it is. That is the problem with them, you always pay too m...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
If you're really nice to him, he might sell you a bit of his 30-year aged Dongding... I liked it more than the one at Wistaria, but that is just my opinion. I wasn’t impressed by the aged Dongding at Wistaris, actually rather disappointing... I was going to post about the aged Dong Ding from Wistar...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello folks... How long have you been drinking tea? A few years. I used to pretend I like the taste of coffee and enjoyed drinking different varieties of it. But really I think it tastes like hot garbage and I moved on to tea. And anything I do, I tend to do in-depth and so tea became yet another ho...
