Re: Pumidor discussion
My set up is mini fridges or in case of my shou a full size one. I have been using the Cigar Oasis units minus the foam in them and distilled water for humidity. I do have high flow computer fans in there with a molex hookup. I will run them 2 or 3 minutes about twice a week. I do have to monitors i...

Re: Yunnan Sourcing website: .com vs .us
They have two separate sites, .com ships from China and .us from the U.S. The China site has a larger selection and lower prices, but shipping is longer/more expensive to the U.S. The U.S. site has a smaller selection and higher prices, but shipping is cheaper/faster to the U.S. I am U.S. based and...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello Tea Peeps! Great to be back! Thank you, dear administrators, for putting the time and effort to bring new life to the old glorious forum! I have been enjoying tea and how it makes me feel for about 12 years now. I enjoy all teas, but gravitate towards aged teas. My tea is usually prepared in ...

Re: Experience with thetea.pl and adventure in every cup?
Does anyone have any experience with thetea.pl or adventureineverycup? Thetea.pl have some interesting puerh offerings. There's 99 8582 on thetea.pl for what I think is quite cheap 140$. Is that price normal for this tea and age? I'm always a bit skeptical when it comes to tea and am wondering if a...

Re: Classic pu?
I’m really excited. Going to order that 7542 901 from jade leaf. How about this for my shu? https://www.jkteashop.com/m/menghai-7572-p-31.html King Tea Mall sells it for $25 less with shipping as low as $10 for China post or epacket plus it’s 701 instead of the 702 you’re looking at. Thanks. I was ...

Re: Science behind letting puerh "rest" after shipment?
-snip- Welp, I pulled my tea out of the fridge last night, and just drank it now. The 2005/2001 Awazon shu tasted much the same as it does every other time I drink it when steeped normally. I let the fourth steep run on until the tea was basically black, and it tasted heavily of prunes, which is no...

Re: Classic pu?
Thanks for all the great info. I was doing some research and I read that the third number isnt necessarily grade, but refers only to leaf size. Anyone have a line on a nice quality (real) 7542 cake? I found this one to be as good as a similar aged 7542. https://kingteamall.com/index.php/product/200...

Re: Ripe/raw puerh storage?
IMO sheng and shou both age dramatically. You should see how VERY dry warehouse storage shou changes in three years in HK. It goes from painful drinking to very nice indeed! And I wouldn't dream of drinking young V93 for example, but even two years of storage down here smooths it out significantly....

Re: Ripe/raw puerh storage?
Keep sheng and Shou separate by all means. One is a man made process , and one is a process of time and storage. They will cross contaminate if left together. I thing sheng is much more prioritized to store in good conditions. It will change greatly over the years, shou not so much since it is basic...

2012 Dayi Spring cake. This cake was all of $5 in 2012 and was painfully bitter and smokey then. Now in 2018...intense floral scent I've never had from any aged pu. Still fair bitterness but balanced with lovely huigan. Smooth and pleasant. What a transformation! Where did you learn about those Spr...
