Re: Ethan Kurland
White tea from Nepal: My list of teas for sale on the bottom of page 8 has a new addition: Himaylayan Snow, an organic white tea from Nepal. I think I have not had this tea for a few years. Some years had poor conditions for white tea & some years I had trouble communicating w/ my source in Nepal. T...

Re: Lapsang Souchong
From Wuyi Origin, smoked style Hundred Years 2021: Flavorful w/o harsh edge. Very nice, somewhat simple L.S. tea. Soft & smooth. Smokey flavor is not a burnt flavor (thankfully). Good for me to drink to break up my routine. Good for 3 infusions. A note about quality & spending $ for it: I am conscio...

Re: Electric Kettles
Vevor brand, kettle: I ordered the wrong one! Wow, do I have a problem w/ websites! Anyway for only about 15% less $, I got a kettle w/o variable temperature control. Actually, I think I don't mind. I am enjoying the light weight of this kettle, quicker heating, slimmer shape, better handle (like Sk...

Re: What Black Are You Drinking
Nice-looking teaware! Never came across a Japanese black that had enough flavor for me. It looks tasty in that pretty cup though.

Re: Ethan Kurland, updated list of teas
List of available teas (posted on bottom of page 8) has been updated. Please note that both the High Mountain Organic Roasted Oolong has only one packet available. Also, I have been drinking the new teas since mid-November & they are wonderful. Added an organic white tea from Nepal.

Re: Electric Kettles
I bought another bonavita from Amazon a week ago or so. At least I thought I had. The next day I was notified that the purchase was put on hold because of a security concern. (I told Amazon about my new phone # but had failed to notify my credit card company.) I got straight w/ the card company but ...

Re: Lapsang Souchong
Years back I had some lapsang souchong from Wuyi Origin that was the best I ever had. I don't remember all the reasons why I have not had any LS in my cupboard since then. I guess it is one of the teas that I only drink outside. Unfortunately, most homes that have LS in them, have poor quality LS. G...

Re: Electric Kettles
Thank you Bourder & Victoria. Your posts helped to make a decision that I have put off for about a year. My last Bonavita stopped working about a year ago after 7 years of service. I've been using a stove-top gooseneck kettle that a neighbor was throwing away. It is ugly from abuse but has a goosene...

Re: Lapsang Souchong
The greatest shortcut is a vendor who understands what a particular customer wants to taste. ..the biggest responsibility ( pressure on vendor ) , in my opinion. Thanks for sharing. I don' trust my memory of customers' preferences. I always refer to what they tell me when they are thinking about ne...

Re: How Much Tea Do You Consume Per Day?
One can try drinking other things to perk up. I drink soda water w/ a teaspoon or 2 of vinegar. For a soothing effect of a hot drink w/o caffeine I drink Brasa (a powder from Portugal, now a Nestle product) made from cereals (grains) & chicory. One can add sugar, molasses, milk, a bit of brew made f...

Re: Lapsang Souchong
filipes, fWelcome to the forum. So, do you think the leaves would give you the same, if they had not been smoked, even though you cannot taste the smokiness directly? I ask because I have enjoyed lightly roasted teas that do not allow a drinker to directly taste the roasting, but definitely helped m...
