Re: Ripe/raw puerh storage?

not to freak you out again, but i think i misread your original message. i think i had originally read 2018 instead of 2008. i'm actually unsure of the result of storing a cake that dry for so long. do you know when the tea was harvested or pressed? have you tried the tea recently? what's yo...

Really nice blue glaze. Do you know who the artisan is?
Me :-)

P.S. I guess that outdoor shot didn't capture the color correctly. It's more of a green color (classic Celadon glaze). Here's an indoor shot with a matching cup:

Re: Ripe/raw puerh storage?

Thank you so much. That is reassuring.
I read somewhere that prolonged dry storage can permanently kill raw puerh so that really freaked me out.
I'll get on raising the humidity ASAP!

Can someone ID this cup?

I know it's a long shot but maybe someone knows who made this cup or whether it's still available for purchase anywhere...

Re: Ripe/raw puerh storage?

I can post the pics but the leaves are still green so I am wondering if this tea is completely dead or maybe I can still resurrect it somehow? don't worry too much. it will be fine. get the RH to 65%+. once you do, the flavor should perk up. it will also improve the tea's longer term prospects. Tha...

Re: Ripe/raw puerh storage?

I've just realized that I have a raw Puerh cake from 2008 that was stored improperly for all these years (sitting in my cupboard). Our house has been basically between 65-73F and lower than 50% humidity all this time. I can post the pics but the leaves are still green so I am wondering if this tea i...

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello from Ohio.
I've been drinking tea for as long as I remember myself.
I used to hang out on the TeaChat and just learned about this forum. Pretty exited and I already see some familiar faces here!
My favorite tea keeps changing from time to time. Right now it's Oolong teas...
