Re: Global Tea Hut

I have tried a few of their sheng puerh. They all have this shou puerh note to them. Some have more of this "fermented taste" then others. Why is this, does anybody know?

Re: Puzzled wannabe Yixing buyer

A slow pouring teapot can be worked around with technique (timing) so I suggest you don’t obsess too much on fast pouring teapots like so many others do. Fast or slow, you’ll find your path. I respectfully disagree with this. If you have a pot with a 19 seconds pour and you are drinking a semi aged...

Re: Favorite YQH tea (in relation to price)

I just discovered YQH and asked for prices on a couple of cakes. Waiting to hear back. I can't believe how much is out there with respect to Pu'er; I never knew much about it until recently (turned off years ago after having a bad sample from a bad, local vendor). Because you have not just current ...

Favorite YQH tea (in relation to price)

Hi,

I thought it would be fun to hear which YQH tea is your favorite in relation to price (and why)?

I have only tried a few but i like the Qizhong a lot in relation to cost. Mainly because of its qi and darker notes.

Re: Novak & Randova Teaware

Tetsubin This is one of the early pots Petr made in the "bizen style". I've been using it regularly for 7 years now. At some point it got cleaned when the layer of tea residue in the interior got too thick. One of the nice things about this style is how the tea stains naturally blend with the clay....

YQH Qizhong. Brewing it in a Yixing teapot 6,6g in a 100 ml teapot, it got a nice feel to it :)

Re: Storage odor question (plastic smell from fridge)

Thank you for the good adivce @pedant.

I will try with the unsented soap.

I have already taken out al the interior and those parts do not have a plastic smell to the after cleaning.

The fridge is about two months old. The smell has persisted.

Storage odor question (plastic smell from fridge)

Hi, I am currently building a pumidor (for puerh storage) but the fridge i am using has a sort of new-plastic smell which is quite strong. So far I have tried to use tea on the interior to mute the smell but then it just smell like both tea and plastic. I have tried using baking soda (dissolved in w...
