Re: Please some advice on Dancong

I find Wuyi Origins Dan Cong to be very forgiving to brew and very good both in terms if energy and taste.

Re: Tetsubin pouring issues

Thanks for the input and advice faj , @.m. and Chadrinkincat . heating the tetsubin with the spout outside the radiated heat seem to work against the water shouting out when the tetsubin is tilted. Tilting the tetsubin the other direction first (letting steam out) seem to help with issue number two ...

Tetsubin pouring issues

Hi, I have a tetsubin that have a couple really annoying problems when it comes to pouring. When the water is boiling and I am about to pour it on the tea the water will shoot out even though the tetsubin is just tilted a little bit (it seems to me to be because of the spout is to hot). The second s...

Re: 2019 from Wuyi Origin?

Their Boutique Tieluohan that they had this year is just outstanding. I am not very experienced with Yancha but my god that is a good tea. I do not need a better tea I just don't.

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

Having the 2014 Qilan from Wuyiorigin. Its the second tea of the day (had the boutique tieluohan for about 15 steeps in a 80 ml Shiboridashi as a first tea of the day). Sounds interesting. I have not had a Qulian in a long time. What is the flavor profile like? I am not familair with Wuyiorigin...h...

Re: Puerh Vendor Topic

I guess i wanted to add another really good puerh vendor here. I find Teas We Like to have a great puerh tea offering. I find them to be a top 3 vendor when it comes to puerh.

It could mute a bit less with use. How long have you been using it? Do you have a picture? What tea do you use it for? I got it last week and I really like everything else with it. Its just that i have been using a modern Zhuni quite heavily for about 8 months and that pot really accentuates the te...

I drink semi aged raw puerh out of these. The new one is a modern one out of Dicaoqing clay. Tetsubin, would you mi...

Hi, I have a zini pot that mutes a bit to much for my taste. it is very new though, will this muting change over time with use or will it always steal flavor? It could mute a bit less with use. Re: European Teaware

lUKAV28thanks for the feedback! Glaze is not glaze, I had bad experience with crackle glazed pieces from Japan in the past... I suspect it has to do with at what temperature a tea is brewed. Did you find good use for them? Firstly I suspected the water as I used filtered (waterlogic hybrid) when br...

Re: Global Tea Hut

I have tried a few of their sheng puerh. They all have this shou puerh note to them. Some have more of this "fermented taste" then others. Why is this, does anybody know? Which ones? The older shengs have probably seen quite varying storage, and well, aged sheng ferments, if there's enough humidity...

Re: Hojo Response Delay

I was inspired by the post here about new kobiwako pots to rush over to Hojo’s site to reserve a 70 ml pot to complement my 110 ml pot. I heard back in 2 days and then the next day I sent in an order for the pot and several teas. That was 10/15, 2 weeks ago. I did resend my email several days later...
