Yes, it was the same shape. It looked exactly like mine. A shame I did not bookmark the pot... I am still searching for it.
This one?

Re: Yixing

I was asking about the other teapot (https://www.teaforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=21054#p21054). If you think that's clearly a fake I would like to hear a reason for it. If even Chinese guys think that this one is genuine it can't be that obvious, can it? I can't tell you if the kettle is authentic, de...

Re: Yixing

No, I know the dragon teapot is authentic. No need to confirm or question that. How do you know? Authentic what? Green label? It can also be an authentic F1, but with a sticker from the wrong period for example ;) Professional auction houses are way too pricey in my opinion. Pricey, or the price of...

... and it's for sale again. So it's possible this set is not so good after all, and I am not the only one getting it wrong sometimes. At least I don't pay this much for my pots. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293555391267 😂 guess seller backed out or it was shill bidding to drive up price.

Re: Yixing

Mark-S The bark on your 3friends pot looks like it is erratic and poorly done compared to mine. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7jd3_Sgm4r/?igshid=561oygmxwog4 The overall craftsmanship of each of mine varies slightly but none seem to stand out as being different. I think these are all authentic but t...

Re: Yixing

Chadrinkincat Oh, I could not remember seeing the pot in this group. It looks a bit different. Thanks :) Now I know that 1 squirrel is missing from the lid. That should not be too hard to fix for a potter I think... This group is a pretty good resource for more decorative designs. Not every post me...

Re: Yancha Vendors: Highest Grade vs Bang for Buck Vendor Recommendations

mafoofan This vendor is located it The East village neighborhood of Manhattan. Their rent is $$$$$ East Village is relatively cheap for Manhattan :) But how does this relate to the quality of the tea? If it is good/premium yancha, I am willing to pay a local vendor with a physical store. A $2/g tea...

Nice squirrel & grape pot! Late 80’s 150-250ml?

The other pot seems awkwardly shaped for actual use.

For those of you in the New York area, these guys also stock yancha with elaborate origin claims and prices to match (although I imagine closed for the time being): https://www.yelp.com/biz/lc-tea-trading-inc-new-york I’ve been there a few times but I don’t remember their yancha being that expensiv...

Re: Yixing

OCTO I saw this 3 friends pot awhile back which also looked 50’s to me. Came w/ round base seal that is in Dr. Lu’s book. ./download/file.php?id=4825 I will stay far far away from this set... hahahaha... if you know what I mean.... The earliest I've seen are in the 60s. What's worth looking for is ...
