Re: Future Sale project: Qing/ROC Pearskin Zhuni
How does the kintsugi feel when finished and cured? Is it a hard, smooth plastic feel? Firm but soft enough to indent with a fingernail? I am imagining it would feel the same as dried/polymerized pine resin still on the tree. Would it be brittle at all? Is there a different in cured product between ...

After some back and forth with Kevin I have finally received my order in Australia, and with that I believe he has opened up shipping to Australia with FedEx as well

That was a quick sale. I hope it receives a lot of solid use.

Re: FS: ROC Qingshuini Shuiping, 100ml
I really like the shape of this pot. I bet it would feel amazing in the hand too.
I would love to relieve you of this one, but the older yixing pots may always be out of my price range.
I'm sure somebody will save me from the temptation soon though.

It's great seeing the slow but steady progress. Every day I am eager to see the updates.
I have several repairs that I should get done myself, hopefully this proves to be motivation enough for me.

Re: A bit of gossip about TC...
I too have noticed this. If I google a specific topic with "teaforum" at the end rather than using the forums search function I immediately get TC results. This is mildly frustrating, not only for having TC content always show first, but their new banner is shown before the topic. If I am using my p...

Re: Gong fu Brewing: What are your best tips for beginners?
People saying to relax and not worry about specifics are spot on. Fill your pot with tea and water and learn from what happens. Some people learn in different ways and this can work great for some from the start. For others you may been to be conscious of the times and temperatures for your weighed ...

Re: Looking to pair some pots. Ideas on where to begin?
I personally have a few pots from Lukevecent. I find the pots he sells are modern blends which don't stand up to the typical descriptions of the clays. This is definitely not a negative comment, but more of a generalisation. All of his pots except one required a decent amount of use to show their c...

I feel that having the repairs documented like this can add much more value than just offering a "repaired pot".
I too look forward to seeing this progress.

Re: High-quality tea subscriptions?
I have subscribed to white2tea. They offer a range of different teas each month, from a shou cake to a selection of new release yancha. I don't feel they are sending out unwanted or old stock because it's always something they are just releasing or something just for the subscription. I haven't been...

Re: Tetsubin
I use a dedicated induction plate for my tetsubin. there has been a lot of negetive comments about induction being too hot or harsh for a tetsubin, but I keep the heat low with no bad experiences. 400 or 600 watts can slowly bring a full Kettle to the boil in maybe 15 minutes, then I drop it to 200w...
