Re: What HeiCha are you drinking
Interesting one today. This is the spring 2021 raw Liubao W2T has recently offered. The owner acknowledges it may be more of a green tea than a proper LB, and I agree. It's nutty, vegetal, and it reminds me more of Yunnan green tea than of the few young raw LB I've had before. It's pretty good thou...

Re: What Green Are You Drinking

Re: What is your favorite region/subregion for puerh and why?
Thing is this question to me, for what it's worth, is rather mute... Some drink the green stuff and some drink the old stuff.. everyone wants the old stuff, but somehow get stuck ... When they get old, it's either good or bad, by storage and by base... Not bass, base... So how? My favourite region, ...

Re: Dayi 7542
If you can't spot that it says "7572" instead of "7542" on the cake, you might want to buy from reputable vendors instead of gambling on aliexpress ;) Your expertise is appreciated, your condescension is not. A wake up call rather than condescension... Tea isn't a snowflake's game generally unless ...

1980's Tie Lou Han from EoT's tea club: Daddy likes, daddy likes!! The dry and wet leaves smell like cacao. The liquor is super thick and tastes like bittersweet chocolate powder like old school Nestles chocolate powder. The bittersweet leaves after a while and it gets very sweet. I need to hold on...

LeoFox I'm reaching for some Rougui right after finishing this post! The past few days have been a journey through assorted traditional toasted TGY and aged oolongs from Taiwan... Interestingly, while sipping thru a pot of 2015 Dancong yesterday I kept getting orchid flavours that kept bringing me ...

Re: puerh: to air or not to air?
karma Yes we live in humid conditions generally but I don't open up a tea and just leave it on the bench unless it's some extreme rescue job I'm attempting... Teas are broken up and conditioned in porcelain or metal tins and if having those in the storage conditions are helpful then so be it... My ...

Re: 4 Signs of a Real Yixing Teapot
What about the tea?? How do all these things do the tea in or out? Good for tea or not? I just tend to buy the pots that resonate with nice clay that makes.my eyes go yes! No one cares about clay effect tea. Except for the western audience and very few people in Asia. Certainly no one in Yixing. Th...
