Second is a roasting vessel from Japan. I bought it new a few years back. It’s meant for baking sesame seeds or, which is what I got it for, tea.
Slowly and with low heat to wake up a tea.
Good as new, as I only used it once or twice.

Re: Spring cleaning: random tea stuff
First up is a lovely set of two wood fired cups. Taiwanese clay, made by my pottery teacher.
Coarse clay, some glassy spots from the ash, metallic sheen, thick walled. Good cups for Puerh or older teas.

Spring cleaning: random tea stuff
Spring is upon us and some stuff has been overdue to cede their shelf space.
Will add some more stuff to this list according to what I find while cleaning…
It’s all prices without shipping. Snail post probably best option due to long distance from Asia and comparatively low value.

So here is the Tetsubin. Pretty good condition, some deposits that can be easily cleaned off on the inside. Dimensions: 23.5×19×14.5cm, about 2kg. ./download/file.php?id=14801 Dang that's a pretty knob! Is that a common style? I have no idea… have not seen it anywhere else, but that doesn’t mean an...

Re: Troubleshooting: Site Issues & Bug Reports
I'm no longer receiving email updates on threads I follow - I tried emailing the admin but I'm not sure that went through (or maybe I just didn't receive the response). In any case - it would be great to get emails when certain threads post again. I had the same issue a while back, one time they la...

Re: The Porcelain Thread
Thanks for your comments. Do you think it’s modern because it’s in unused condition, or are there any other signs that would indicate this? Gloss and material do no look like it would on older porcelain. Style is also fairly common to see in Japan on semi-vintage-modern era pieces. Generally, you'd...

Re: Your favorite Dan Cong vendor?
As far as I am aware it is a loose cooperation with that business, not himself. More like a curation.
