Re: Yixing

faj That's really an interesting statement. They've got some pots I would maybe even pay about $2000 for some day, and I don't think that many users here would be interested in these pots at all. We are small fish in the world of Chinese tea and teaware. Indeed we are. I find it a privilege to have...

Re: Yixing

It's "Proven" to be Mid Qing? From a Trusted source? All right, then. It's still weird in my opinion since you cannot even use this jar, and with teapots it would be a dealbreaker for most people. I'd never spend so much money on this. Your not getting it. A replica is worthless. A legit mid qing j...

Re: Yixing

Good sir, have you made any purchases from the fine folks at ZAG? Specifically in the Yixing Teapot Department? If so, thoughts?? Nope, not yet. And I did not mean to criticize them. Sometimes, I just don't understand their pricing. ;) Understood, I hear ya! Speak freely, the truth will prevail! No...

Re: Yixing

It's Mid Qing. Wouldn't the missing lid be a dealbreaker? And why is this jar so expensive and my jar isn't? Sometimes I simply don't get it. https://www.teaforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=22279#p22279 It's "Proven" to be Mid Qing? From a Trusted source? ...or are they?? Maybe they have me duped!!

Weird for some reason I was thinking this one was around 120ml.

Do you know the price on this one?
This is a Late Qing/Early Republic offering. There are a few that look quite similar. This is $1,763.94 to be exact.

Re: Yixing

Who has experience with old red clay (Late Qing/Early Republic)? Just from the picture, this looks to be Hongni more so than Zhuni, but I could be wrong. I'll yield to those with more expertise. I like the simplicity and curves of this pot, and I might add it to my final trio that's in the works. ....

Re: Yixing

TeaTotaling nice pot. Chadrinkincat has the same pot, but i think his is green label if not mistaken. Cheers! Thanks! I haven’t committed to this one just yet. I have another red pot I might choose over this one. It is certainly very nice though. I would be curious to hear howChadrinkincat likes it...

Interesting insight, thank you!

Do you have any experience with 60's Yixing? With your knowledge and expertise, I feel like you might own one or two ;)
Many of our forummers here have 60s Yixing in their armada of pots.
Fancy! Sounds like I would be in good company.
