It looks like ok modern hongni. Try to do compare how it brews to a porcelain gaiwan to evaluate what it does to tea. I suggest to try the same tea a couple of times so that you can separate variation between sessions from the effect of the pot.

I would do the same. When placing a tissue between the lid and body, use only 1 ply. Too thick and it will cause the rims or lid to crack while in transit / being moved.

Yes, this point of the 1 ply is very important.

thanks! the small spout means it doesn't exactly lightning pour. but since it also works well holding the leaf back from the single hole opening and its going to be for LB anyway pour speed isn't a big issue so it works out well. its very shiny, I'm guessing both that and the color being the result...
