Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Finished off a session of 2017 Crimson Lotus Storm Breaker today. I really don't think this tea is worth the money they're asking. It's good, moderately complex and surprisingly drinkable for 2017 (after two washes, dry leaf was super wo dui), but it doesn't last and it's not that complex. The two o...

2004 Yiwu from Tea Urchin care of Liquid Proust via a tea swap. Infusions forever...all the notes I love with aged sheng...old books, ripe pitted fruit, some damp wood, slight camphor, and resin; even a little shroom. Absolutely beautiful liquor with rich amber hues. Serious mellowing qi. Nice swee...

2007 Shu Favorites
Anyone have any particular 2007 (or about then) shu pu favorites? Ideally, things that are currently available. I'm trying to space out my shu collection by five years for comparison and it seems like there are a few options out there. Obviously, most things from this period are going to be classic ...

Re: Classic pu?
The alternative to drinking a bunch of pesticide-laden factory tea would be to order some single village or single mountain pressings from vendors such as Yunnan Sourcing, Farmerleaf, Essence of Tea, or Crimson Lotus (there are others). This will allow you to become more familiar with the distinct q...

Re: Introduce Yourself
I'm Tom and have been drinking tea since 2009. Around that time I got overly serious about it, had a blog and then burned out on writing (and obsessing) about tea. I'm back now at a more sustainable level. How long have you been drinking tea? Been drinking puer and good greens since 2009. What kind ...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Have been sampling a number of Farmerleaf teas lately. Most of what I'd had so far was safe, clean plantation tea, but then I had the 2016 Wuliang Single Trees yesterday and today and really enjoyed it.
Lively, crisp tea, with nice sweetness and great minty cool finish. Decent staying power too.

Is white2tea the only puer producer now?
This obvious hyperbole, but highlights my point. I checked out of the online tea community between 2012 and earlier this year. When I came back, white2tea was new to me. Now, when I look on Reddit or Instagram, it's almost always the only brand of puer that people talk about (a touch of YS and Crims...
