Re: Yixing

And this is the smaller one :D ./download/file.php?id=14203 Curious if you are using your purple clay flower pot with any tea in particular? I’ve started using mine with Hojicha which uses off boiling water so the thick walls work well with this tea late at night, even though it’s big around 500ml ...

Re: Yixing

Here's an interesting one... no character seal on the bottom, only an oval '720' stamp (720ml?) Seems to have been well used in its past life. The clay looks to be of nice-looking thick QSN. Very nice :D I have one of those, same shape and bottom seal, different lid seal. Unfortunately it is in a b...

Re: Chocolatey teas

I know it's nothing new, and that in the better cases it is achieved by a processing rather than scenting, it just why is there so much of it lately? Like I go to a local teastore, ask for a good hongcha, get offered jinjunmei, which i politely turn dow, just for the next tea, which seem to be some ...

Chocolatey teas

Has there been a growing trend for chocolate tasting teas lately, or is it more of a coincidence that i'm tasting so many of them lately? I'm talking about teas like Jinjunmei and its various iterations and copies, which often seem to have taste-wise ok base leaf material, except for an obnoxious ch...

Re: Fuzhuan storage advise needed

I don't have any particular experience with fuzhuan, but my guess would be to store them like sheng puerh. As for Mylar bags and mold: if you seal 69% Boveda in a mylar bag with tea, chances are it will eventually start developing some mold, like after a few years. I've made this experience, and it ...

Re: Chen YuanHao

Completely agree with Balthazar . XZH is a good example where the list prices are from another world and are certainly meant to drive the market value without reflecting it. Personally, I too think that these CYH prices are somewhat reasonable; although much more than I could afford, yet not complet...

Re: Chen YuanHao

Btw. When I access the site from Canada I see prices in $ but no indication if it is USD or CAD. Only after comparing the prices with Puerh.uk (which has the same issue but I already know it is CAD), I am led to assume it is CAD as well. Is it correct? https://chenyuanhao.shop/product/2014-chen-yi-...

I like that the website uses words like "investment", "world class", "true exclusivity", etc., which seems more honest than let's say "enlightement"

Curious to see why a specific tea would be 40% of retail sold in Taiwan?
Even after the generous discount it's still significantly more than for how much the tea can be (occasionally and unofficially) purchased in Taiwan. ;)
