...Darjeeling. This year I've really been enjoying various Rohini Darjeeling. Not only the First Flush but also a Second Flush as well as some experimental oolongs and an autumn pluck as well.

puerh: to air or not to air?
In this blog post from 2008, " Perspectives on Storing and Aging Pu'er Teas (i) ", I encountered the following observations: My tea-teacher has long advised that I expose newly-arrived pu’er to the air for at least two weeks prior to tasting it. I have learned that shu is incredibly better when aire...

Re: Caffeine reduction in tea
You might look for certain seasonal varieties. I've read the tea with the highest caffeine content is late spring and summer harvests. Autumn tea is said to have naturally less caffeine, but certainly not none. I've had some autumn Darjeelings that are wonderful. There are some winter harvest teas, ...

Re: Mei leaf
@tendingtropic Welcome! I'm a newcomer here too. I learned lots from the Mei Leaf YouTube channel at one point, but I've yet to sample any of their teas, so I cannot comment on that. For awhile I subscribed to their email newsletter, but unsubscribed because the hard-sell rubbed me the wrong way. I ...

Hi Vikram
Just now I was browsing your site. You've got some nice teas there! One comment: I see a text at the bottom inviting me to subscribe to your newsletter, but there is no link, not at least in my browser (FF v80/Linux). Am I missing something??

Re: Introduce Yourself
Thanks @Victoria. Actually, I enjoy the gong fu approach for a highly fragrant Taiwanese oolong, like Ali Shan, but for most Chinese blacks and greens I prefer a 2 to 5 minute infusion.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi all, This morning I mailed Pieter who blogs at tea-adventures dot net with a question about pu'erh storage, and in his reply he mentioned a post on this forum, which I hadn't visited before. So here I am. I've been a lifelong casual tea drinker. About ten years ago, thanks to the extensive offeri...
