The inside is unglazed Shigaraki clay. Ad far as I can tell ... same as the bottom of the exterior.

Yesterday, Tachi Masaki from Hojo.
Today, Aoyu kyusu by Yamada Sou.

Zoom in, his Aoyu has a "glisteny" shimmer. Really hard to pick up with a phone ...

A bit of a bubble fetish ...
I always like to zoom in on the bubbles that only show up in later steeps. It makes me think of a stadium full of observers.

My baby blue Yamada Sou is a white clay base--see that spout? The brown barely visible towards the base in this photo is a bit of something from the garden that I was using to level it.

I have one other bulbous handle by Yamada Sou out of a total of ... oops ... almost let that slip. Wait and see how many.

Shiggy family. The test kyusu is first generation of this clay by Tachi Masaki. The other 2 were made years later and still years ago ... they have not been tested ... yet.
