Re: some teapots for sale
I’m somewhat surprised these pots are still for sale. It could be the price or possibly demand for pots of this era and size are declining in the west. Actually from the old bunch is the 65ml sweetcake and 150ml from EOT. Other 4 are listed for the first time :) They price is reasonable because the...

Re: Question about Tibetan brick teas
Tibetan style sounds like a euphemism for compressed tea dust that didn’t make it into teabags. Likely meant for making yak butter tea.

Re: Factory or Faketory?
Was considering a yixing that popped up on classifieds here in portugal, after seeing a thread on teachat with 2 versions of that type of pot I was both convinced it was fake and real  Can someone tell me if its an obvious fake? Though I understand if you dont want to, one thing is appraising ...

Re: DHP and stomach upset
I am interested in some of their Yixing tea ware. There is one tiny Hong Ni Shui Ping that looks like a twin to one that i own. Thanks Most of those pots are significantly overpriced with incorrect info about age/F1. Not sure what shuiping your looking at but $75-240 can easily get you the authenti...

@steanze Lol. Surprised I had an honerable mention on that list. I wish I had the level of knowledge that others on that list possess. I’ve still got a long way to go on my collectors journey.
I do agree with your accessment on vendor knowledge.

Re: Is Yixing more porous than CZ??
Nice pot! Now for the million dollar question: Muting/porous or not? Attached my previously mentioned modern CZ pot. Thanks. Zero porousity......well for now atleast since it needs spout drilled out more before I can use it. Nice rustic wabi sabi look to your pot so its not porous/muting? Read it a...

Re: Is Yixing more porous than CZ??
I do not buy from Western facing shops. I somewhat disagree with the claim that western facing shops have all the junk while Asian facing shops have all the treasures. A large percentage of tea related junk that is being sold in the world (i.e. junk tea and junk teaware) is actually sold in Asia. T...

im not being that general, im just agree with some who know a lot more than me, my local tea vendor, Don. Relying on one's person and on one teapot per kind of clay to make a general statement seems very general too me... as i said people just copy each other, up till now even people who ...

2009 Naka from LiquidProust: this is probably the most enjoyable $50 cake I’ve had in awhile. Hints of receding smoke, camphor/minty and pleasant bitterness. It’s definitely a bargain cake that I regret only buying 2 of.
