Re: What teas are easy on the stomach

Things have been pretty stable for a few months now with my GERD. I’ve found that not eating for at least 3 hours before retiring has made a huge difference. Also, watching my meal portions has helped enormously. As far as teas are concerned, I’m careful not to drink them on an empty or almost empt...

Re: Yixing advice

I would stick with porcelain. Every clay teapot is different, that's why they say the teapot picks the tea, not the other way. But you are forgetting one thing: all porcelain is also not the same... Old/new, Japanese/Chinese/European, Jingdezhen/Dehua/Chaozhou, thin/thick, glazed/unglazed, et...

I believe both versions skyrocketed in price, and became a collector’s tea. I wonder if any later reproductions can get close to the first 2 generations.
It's generally a selected 7542 blend at a premium price. I've discovered it's more rewarding to make my own quirky blends... :D :D

It's unglazed clay. It'll always have an effect. Zhuni has the smallest effect, but it still changes the tea compared to a Gaiwan. For really high end yancha, I think only porcelain is the way to go.
Absolutely agree with @Youzi 👍🏻👍🏻

Re: tea and music

I'm using a thermos to have a stock of cooked water for a session, hence mostly quieter music works fine here. Weird sound landscapes, ambient passages and recordings of nature are welcome if rare guests - i'm easily get carried away by music, so it's hard to keep those activities in delicate balan...
