Yeah I'm just waiting to be told what I owe exactly, so I don't have to have this expense hanging. He said before end of Sept.

Just a humble leafy everyday Dianhong from Lincang. That should explain both the not-so-complex part and the longevity part. Cheap and, most importantly, comfortable.

Re: "Gunpowder" or pearl tea "zhu cha"
The next tea is also a Yongxi Huoqing tea from the core region of FengKeng, as described above but from wild, seed grown trees that have never seen fertilizer. Again, this is offered by DaXue JiaDao: https://www.teaforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=37648#p37648 I should clarify. None of the Daxue Jiadao An...

TeaTotaling: I'm glad to hear that we've had similar experiences when tea and drink are combined... I was wondering, though, which raw 2008 liu bao you were referring to; perhaps I missed the reference. Hopefully I'm not misreading the reference here, but I believe @TeaTotaling is referring to our ...

Re: Daxue Jiadao 大学夹道
Where exactly did you purchase from? I can't find a direct purchasing link, only a site that says opening soon. Hi there. Our current process is a bit like walking into a neighborhood shop (https://www.daxuejiadao.com password: kuaile). Take a look around, and if anything catches your interest, we'...

Re: Your day in tea
🙏 Sometimes with tea it's too easy to get lost bending every little thing to our (pre-existing) liking. Not that that should not be a big part of our enjoyment. Always this tension (hopefully a creative and generative one) between understanding just what it is that is in front of us, and what we'd l...

Re: Your day in tea
It's been a long while but I remember it being very unfussy tea to enjoy a number of different ways. A tea like this with not a lot to tweak away, medium ratio gaiwan, silver, or porcelain pot brew, north of 90C...? Whatever it happens to lack in body, I think it's just a part of this tea's personal...

@baisao @debunix that halmonicha aka grandma tea is one we've quite enjoyed in the past. Lovely clean ("깔큼한" as a Korean would say) experience.

Re: Huangshan Maofeng
Maofeng is a delicate tea in many ways, and even subtle changes in brewing in a gaiwan can show different aspects of the tea. One thing you can try next time to modulate the texture and aftertaste of the tea in a gaiwan is to play around with the amount of agitation, both in pouring in water and pou...
