Re: Yixing Repair - Gap Filling
a question for those who have kintsugi repaired pots - I understand that doing real lacquer kintsugi is very difficult and time consuming since you are dealing with a very slow drying and difficult to handle material. but once the job is done if done properly are you ever reluctant to expose repaire...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi Bok, To be honest I'm not totally sure and this is maybe part of what I am trying to figure out haha. The fact that they aren't exactly what the Japanese are known for but the fact that there are producers who go through the effort to make them despite there probably being very limited interest/m...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Saying hello here as it seems to be the thing to do... How long have you been drinking tea? For a long time, but just to get going in the morning. Really starting to learn about tea and getting deeper into it started about 4 years ago. What kind of tea do you drink? These days mostly red tea, shu, s...

Re: testing the waters in clay (seeking advice)
Thanks for all the advice so far. I should look closer at used options, although often times even used (good) pot prices are more than I would probably have to spend- I think for now I'm looking around the 50 euros maximum which is a bit of a shame as I get the feeling 100 gets you a lifetime worthy...

testing the waters in clay (seeking advice)
First post, and looking for a bit of advice here that borders on the more general and budget conscious... My main daily brewing tool is an inexpensive and ugly but totally effective porcelain gaiwan for most teas, but I'm looking to dip into clay... I started years ago mostly drinking green tea but ...
