Re: Teas We Like : By and for Tea Lovers
I spent a good amount of time with the gaiwan that TWL sells. Its one of the best gaiwans I own, the pour is fast and narrow which is important. There are expensive gaiwans out there that have a wide pour that can splash boiling water on your fingers. The lid makes it easy to make a small opening f...

Re: Teas We Like : By and for Tea Lovers
Hi! We have added two new teas to the site! The 2010 Dayi 7542, batch 001, is in our opinion the best bang for buck 7542 right now. The Qing Xiang 25 years aged oolong is an exceptional example of well stored aged Taiwanese oolong, with fruity and floral notes. In addition, we have restocked the 199...

Re: Gaiwan
./download/file.php?id=6379 I find my finger get scorched when either or both A and B are too small. A narrow rim beyond the gaiwan lid (A too small) , even if the lid fit is low inside the rim, isn't enough distance for my sometimes shaky fingers. Similarly, if the lid fit is shallow inside the ri...

Chadrinkincat Nice pot!! Thank you Teas We Like for such a good buy!!! Cheers! Thanks for the approval OCTO !! Nice picture Chadrinkincat , looking good. Wood fired, stone ground zini should be a bit muting initially but mid-aged sheng should be a very good fit. This pot is not low-fired so it shou...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
With all the talk about Global Tea Hut and aging Oolong in recent posts, I was excited and motivated to purchase some aged oolong from GTH. I bought their 1998 Cloud Freedom from Lishan mountain. Shipping was super fast. Less than 5 days. Unfortunately, the tea was not great. I experienced this sou...

Re: Teas We Like : By and for Tea Lovers
Would love to hear how does it make tea compare with 60-70s F1 QSN. :D Time to do some tests with the Qing Shui Ni pot with stone ground clay... Based on my tests so far is comparing very well, it is slightly less muting. In terms of clay texture and color it is a bit more similar to a ROC flat jul...

Re: Teas We Like : By and for Tea Lovers
Light fermentation or no fermentation? I thought "sheng" in the context of heicha usually referred to teas that had underwent shorter/less intense fermentation. So not quite the same as sheng puer. From my own (limited) experience, the raw liubaos I've had has still tasted like they have undergone ...
