Re: Gisui Natsume (eggplant) kyusu

Is this pot still available? I’m suffering from some heartbreak after someone knocked my 6 year old, heavily seasoned Shimizu Ken from a counter top... also looking for Fukumashi sencha pot recommendations if not. First time switching over from the old teachat forum! Fun to see familiar faces here....

Re: FS: Gafu flat teapot 100ml

Just a few more pics 20190714_095229.jpg 20190714_095017.jpg 20190714_095126.jpg With continued use, one should expect to see some patina develop(in the third picture of the first post you could see some patina already developing in the interior just after a few uses) Another advantage with this typ...

FS: Gafu flat teapot 100ml

Was meaning to post this the other day along with the shiboridashi but couldn't find the time to time to take proper pictures. Made of pure aged(about a year) Tokaname shudei clay fired in reduction Quite a bit smaller than many of the flat teapots I've seen Gafu make in the past, as he makes many o...

Re: FS: Fugetsu Shiboridashi

Perhaps the rake marks are something craftsmen have been adding relatively recently?
Makes me want to search for a few antique shibo just to find out

Re: FS: Fugetsu Shiboridashi

Very tempting :) great size. 20190706_145827.jpg No rake marks on this one. This is the only shiboridashi I've ever owned so I don't know how typical it is, but it looks like the area behind the lip has been smoothed out right in between where the lid normally sits. I've never had any issue with wh...

Re: FS: Fugetsu Shiboridashi

Forgot to mention that I'm located in Seattle(U.S) and that the cost of shipping will be determined before payment. International shipments will then of course unfortunately cost a bit more to ship out then if you're located outside of the U.S

FS: Fugetsu Shiboridashi

Reduction fired shudei shiboridashi by Fugetsu. Measures 140ml right under the lid but the total usable volume(if you want to avoid spilling) is 130ml Very light at 72g without lid and 116g with lid. Has only been used twice with some sencha $130 20190706_123758.jpg 20190706_122333.jpg 20190706_1238...

Ok maybe there isn't as much interest as I previously thought there was :D
I think I'm just going to keep this guy(actually) this time.

Re: One more time! Hokujo revisited

Just would like to add that I was able to enlarge the holes in the filter resulting in a much quicker and more concreted pour than in the video I previously uploaded.

Much improved I think :D

Re: Hokujo vs Kobiwako clay

I haven't had one of the kobiwako pots to play with for some time now, but from what I remember the kobiwako clay seemed to be a more "all around" type of pot for sencha. Meaning that it seemed like whatever tea I choose it came out pretty well. However with the Hokujo, it seems to be more hit or mi...

Re: Drippy spouts?

Maybe the spout is a touch steeper than yours? I wouldn't have been calling mine horizontal but from the shop photos I'd have thought they were about the same. Also with regards to the width of the spout at the tip vs the base while the exterior doesn't dimension doesn't change as much as some pots...
