Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

Oh wow, seems CHT has been busy in the German-speaking areas: Austria: Rami tea Germany: _Teekontor Kiel (has a lot of different teas by him apparently) _Schnorr Frankfurt Switzerland _Shui Tang, Zürich And there seem to be more... I wonder what kind he is selling abroad, his teas are already a bit...

Re: Yixing

Is it really polished? Or is it patina? Shape make me think of other local Indonesian yixing imitations I’ve seen before. Can be still old though. To be honest, i'm not completely sure whether it is yixing, and I am open to the possibility it is from Indonesia. :) What I am able to say: - The outer...

Re: Yixing

Here's a somewhat curious find. A polished yixing pot stamped with what looks like a Dutch East Indies coin from the beginning of 20th century, something usually seen on Javanese terracotta pots. Upon closer inspection, it turns out it is actually not stamped by the coin but by carved stamp made to ...

Someone gave me this Chen Yuan Hao cake from 2007... not an avid Puer drinker, but this one is very nice. Very clean and bright tea soup. No faults whatsoever. My only complaint is that it made for some very lucid dreams
You have some good friends! :D
Which cake of CYH is it?

Re: Question on stockpiled clay

Factory pots seem to go for around 3x the price of EoT and M&L pots, so I don't know that I'd consider it the same price range. But actually I was looking at some F1 pots anyways. What do you make of the following? http://www.zishaartgallery.com/product/%e5%a4%a7%e9%b1%bc%e5%8c%96%e9%be%99%e5%a3%b6...

Re: Question on stockpiled clay

It should be noted that since the early 80s some additives such as Barium Carbonate were being routinely added to zisha. So if a vendor is selling a super rare 30 or 40 year old clay (which probably means that it was processed 30-40 years ago, as the ore itself is ancient), there is a good chance it...
