My brick & mortar Chinatown tea shop has plenty—just none online.

Where are you located?

Where can I find such tray/boat

I'm desperately trying to find this kind of tray (note that its diameter is wider than what is common to see in travel sets). I know that this is *very* common in Chaozhou but I just can't find anyway to purchase it online or something...
Would be glad for any hints

Tea Hong

Been hearing a lot about TeaHong lately, anyone here had good/bad experience he or she wants to share?

Re: US Vendor sourcing from WuyiOrigins?

Support local and honest vendors.
I will pay a couple of bucks more to keep local vendors in business. They make sure there is a variety of teas to try without making an intl order

Re: Disappointment with a recent purchase

I'm not an expert in airflow, but i can say from experience that you don't need more than 1mm airhole on the lid for a good flow. It seems that the shape is more crucial. It is good if it is conical, both the airhole and the spout with the inside opening larger than the outside. On a lot of shuipin...

Re: The Chopped Spout again

@kale Have you used this pot yet? Yup. brewed some semi aged sheng with it. I think its actually quite decent. Why are you asking? Just curious how it turned out. Did you file down the spout? :) I now think its a very nice find. Got it cleaned and filed. A friend actually told me it looks like F2. ...

Seven Cups

mod edit: discuss Seven Cups here  see also this thread Anyone can vouch for their Yancha? They just have a large variety. Heard a lot about them a couple of years ago but not recently. According to their prices they suppose to score very good on the daily (rather than premium) end. Is thi...

I'm interested... But I've got a couple of questions. Where did you buy it from? How much is shipping? Looks like it's been used some, what kind of teas? How's the pour?

Re: Yancha and roasting level

There is great variation in roasting levels between different producers and even batches. Yancha can be almost green all the way up to scorched beyond recognition! I hear. But when you buy just ShuiXian you expect it to be heavily roasted right? (This is what I mean when I ask whether there is some...

Yancha and roasting level

Some Yancha vendors describe their tea as medium, high, and heavy roasted while others don't really say anything about that... Are there specific standards to firing/roasting level? I mean, when vendors A and B say their shuixian is medium roasted can we assume they used more or less the same roasti...
