Re: Identifying modern Zhu Ni
See how dark this one below is (I think that this one is Zhuni). I don't think its the light. Are they just made of different clays? (Zhuni and Hogni) Perhaps its just a matter of quality? In my opinion, both pots you posted are modern hongni, although I'd need better lighting for the pot on the ri...

Re: A Chinatown find?
Is this one from a shop on Bowery? They normally have price tags on them that are high with hopes that you'll be too afraid to haggle or feel like you got a good deal if they lower price for you. I used to live in Chinatown so I passed by multiple stores like this one everyday. I've seen pots just ...

Re: A Chinatown find?
Looks like your at one of those pop up antique replica stores on Bowery near Spring st. $125? That's way too much. They normally sell those for 50% less than they're listed for. It's a lower quality pot but probably usable compared to what most other shops around there sell. There was no listing of...

A Chinatown find?
I found this pot in Chinatown nyc and really liked it. They asked for something like 125. I assume it’s not the best quality. Would appreciate if anyone can comment on the quality. Is it real yixing? What kind of clay? Is it garbage? Just overpriced? Would appreciate any comment D28F2B4A-4FBE-4A30-9...

Re: Chopped Spout
Looks like a 1980s neiziwaihong, should be around $100 intact. The chipped spout will be annoying, you could get it kintsugi'd but it will cost more than the pot. If you can get it for like $30 you can use it as a study piece, otherwise it is not really worth it. Thank you very much! For what kind ...

Chopped Spout
Hi everyone, I can get a good deal on this pot because its spout is chopped. I'm just a beginner so its a good opportunity for me to experiment brewing tea in a pot but wouldn't like to buy something of low quality.... Do you think that otherwise it is a good one? what clay is it? quality? Many than...
