Re: Yixing

Bok steanze Thanks for chiming in with your opinions guys! I was guessing mine was a transitional piece between mid and late 70’s. Glad to hear my assessment wasn’t too far off the mark. Clay is dirty as hell but looks nice and is well fired. Andrew S Even though your pot isn’t F1, it still looks l...

Re: Yixing

AFAIK, the pots I posted are not fake. These are the the early 80’s version from F1. That must be why they're not nearly as elegant as Baisao's pot... I am conscious that it feels odd to be debating the authenticity of a pot that sounds like it is doing a good job at making tea, but I'm also consci...

Re: Yixing

It doesn’t look like F1 to me either. Clay, shape craftsmanship etc look off. If I’m not mistaken the F1 version use heixingtu with duanni pieces. Like this one from FB. I don’t know if the F1 version was based on an older pot with these exact seals but if it was then I’d guess that Baiso’s pot is a...

Re: Yixing

@Baisao

Nice looking pot. Looks like a possible copy a 82 series F1. This seal was used on these pots.

I’ve got an early 80’s Buddha’s hand pot with same seal.

Thank you. It is earlier than 1990,but I am not sure if it was made around 1963
No way this was made in the 60s… or 70-80s for that matter. I believe it’s post 90s or not Yixing at all even.

Re: Yixing

The overall look of this pot seems more inline w/ factory 2 from 80-90’s. Or possibly another smaller unknown studio. One of the hardest parts of collecting Yixing, is knowing who opinion to trust. IMHO both Bok and Steanze are two of the most knowledgeable people here when it comes to older pots. +...

Also interested in details on the pots. I remember before you posted a late 70s F1 hongni shuiping, do you still have that one?
The only shui ping is already gone. I do have a 60ml hongni set which I was planning to list once I finish unpacking my tea ware.

I ending up placing an order for 90’s tuo + XG samples. The cost of shipping was 600ntd ($20ish) for 150g of tea.

FS: vintage Yixing etc.

I’m clearing the shelves of some of my tea ware. Late 70-90’s F1, F2, tiny Japanese silver pot. Likely a few more pieces once I go through the rest of my boxes. Not currently selling any pre-77 Yixing.

I’ve been curious about their selection too. Their puerh seems pretty dry stored though.

Their site doesn’t have language options so I’m guessing international shipping might not be possible. I message them to verify.

Re: Yixing

I sorta get the impression that some of the admins are people that can translate the seals but have limited knowledge about Yixing. “Generic 中國宜興 [Zhongguo Yixing] 'Yixing, China' mark. Late 1950s and later, I guess” “Second half of last century” There are quite a few distinct periods between 1950-1...
