My Puerh Order (all samples)
I’ve only had 2 puerhs. One loose ripe and one raw pearl. The ripe was extremely refreshing like fresh mineral rich soil. The raw was like a puddle near a sewer drain...with a small carcass floating in it. I loved the ripe immediately and the raw quickly grew on me after the 2nd session...rotting ca...

Re: Tea-Masters
Yes everything he said is true however... if I purchase something that doesn’t represent what is advertised (age, producer, storage conditions etc.) it will throw off my ability to build a pallet and the knowledge of what I like and what to look for. So for those purposes (since I don’t know what a ...

Re: Tea-Masters
Awesome, so no question of the quality or legitimacy ...but prices are higher with certain teas...but that might indicate better quality even between 2 exact teas based on storage etc.....
Sounds legit I’ll grab a few samples.
Thanks!

Tea-Masters
I searched around and could not find any info on tea-masters website. They have a 1997 Menghai 7542 for $600/cake. Just wondering if they are legit and if this is the going rate or seem expensive compared to others?

Re: Puerh Vendor Topic
What are the most trusted puerh vendors right now? As in, if it’s marketed as a 1990 DaYi 7542....that’s really what you’re getting?

Re: KingTeaMall
Don’t mean to divert this thread further it's fine, discuss away. soon i will move most of the zhuni posts here to another thread because i think it will make the info easier to find later (and will link to it). also, i don't want KTM's entire discussion topic to be all about nitpicking some random...

Re: How long do already-steeped leaves remain usable for more brews?
Also, it is best to search first before actually starting a new Topic/Forum. This is to avoid multiple topic threads that are essentially the same. Keeps the forum a little more organized. Many questions can be posted inside existing threads. To only search Topics you (or someone else) started go t...

Re: How long do already-steeped leaves remain usable for more brews?
Sometimes, like today, I brew a real nice green or Darjeeling before I’m rushed out the door after only 1 or 2 infusions. I come home hours later wondering if I can continue steeping the leaves left in my gaiwan. What is the time limit to be safe? Anyone ever get sick from steeping leaves that were...

Re: KingTeaMall
you're making me open up photoshop for this?!? ( just wet teapot is more glossy ) i think actually the surface is dry except for the parts i highlighted in blue. i added red lines to show what i mean by shrinkage artifacts not produced simply by grit protrusion. hope that helps. this is how i...

Re: How Long Can You Leave Steeped Leaves?
no imo no point in drying them unless you're trying to preserve them for the long haul (to prevent mold). i've never heard of anyone doing that ofc  maybe i'd do it if they were the last tea leaves on earth, and i was interrupted mid-session and couldn't continue for a week or more just leave ...

Re: How Long Can You Leave Steeped Leaves?
How long can you leave steeped leaves in a gaiwan before they are bad? I would like to rebrew some puerh that still has life in it, but can’t drink anymore tonight. Can you get sick from resteeping wet leaves the next day? Leaving them out on the table in a gaiwan? eventually the leaves can get mol...
