Re: Please some advice on Dancong

This is the first I've heard of tea habitat and china blocks blogspot so I cant look at her blog. So with out being able to compare, I do suggest Tea Drunk. Also pricey but a lot of great flavors in there.

Re: What Green Are You Drinking

Mao Feng can be a tricky tea to get into because the flavor profile is so light. What you are really looking for in Mao Feng is the mouth feel. The best Mao Fengs are slight and refreshing but still have a deep and thick mouth feel. With out that mouth feel, I find Mao Fengs dont really have any ot...

New white vs. Old White Tea. Which do you prefer and why?

I'll start. I prefer new white tea. I am generally a fan of lighter flavors, but I also find new white tea to be more complex and aromatic. Aged white tea can also be good, but often I find it to be a little dry and dull. To me good aged white tea tastes of bread, while the majority of aged white te...

Really Good Red Tea

https://thesweetestdew.com/red-tea-black-tea/
This red tea, black tea, is really good.

Like thick smooth and dark like dark chocolate, with a bit of that dark chocolate bitterness, this tea has been loved by everyone.

The importance of water in oolong making

Kind of a rant I've been meaning to post somewhere. Controlling how the water leaves the leaf is extremely important to oolong making, and all tea making, and yet I don't think it is talked about enough. For example the rolling step is just as much about enzyme manipulation as is it moisture control...

Re: What Green Are You Drinking

Oh, I just remembered I have a big can of Huangshan Mao Feng, like 200gr. I received it as a gift last fall from a friend who’s not into tea (who received it as a thank you gift from a Chinese consultant who said it was very special). I find it extremely light steeped at 3gr/9oz (250ml)/190F, waite...
