Re: Oolongs vendor topic

A few months back I placed an order with https://www.wuyiorigin.com/ and while I would not a consider myself to be a connoisseur of fine Yancha, I found their teas to be excellent, the best I've had and outperformed more expensive teas.

Re: Help me match my pots with some tea

What kinds of tea do you drink the most? I'm not an expert, but from what I understand it's best to try different teas out with the pots and see which ones brew best in which pot.

Also where did you get your pots?

Charcoal for improving water

I see that Yunnan Sourcing sells a bamboo charcoal for improving water, and Chawangshop has an olive charcoal for this as well. Anyone have any experience with this?

2015 Gao Jia Shan "Wu Long Mountain" from Yunnan Sourcing; brews a gold color, the taste is medicinal and a bit smokey at first, but has a pleasant sweetness and becomes more clean and mineral in subsequent infusions. Unfortunately it also tastes a bit like rubber gloves... I still have lot to learn...

Re: What Black Are You Drinking

2017 Jing Mai Purple Needle from Yunnan Sourcing; a very interesting black tea with strong fruity (my dad said it tasted like blueberry) and floral notes. Light oxidation, a decent number of golden buds. It share some commonalities with the yesheng purple blacks that I've had, but is also quite diff...

Homemade Camellia Sinensis flower tea

My tea plant seems to think it's spring, as it's been blooming like crazy for the past month. I decided to take advantage of that and dry the flowers for making tea with. https://i.imgur.com/ZEFWSBg.jpg So I picked the flowers and dried them in the oven. I used the lowest temperature (170F) for two ...

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hey all, I frequently lurked Tea Chat and am on Steepster as tperez and Reddit as redpandaflying93. I’m a little late to the party, but I decided to sign up for this new forum and see what it’s about! How long have you been drinking tea? Always liked tea, but got into the good stuff about five years...
