Re: Yixing
I have found some modern pots (medium-size Xishis) I really like in a local store. The seller claims that the clay is Zini, Hongni, Benshan Lvni and Zhuni, and that the pots were made under the guidance of a craftswoman with the fourth highest rank (I guess that's not very high). The price is $90 p...

Re: Yixing
Mark-S Nice pot! Looks legit late 70’s Great! I was not sure because of the lid knob (it has no sharp edges) and the small price. May I ask why you are selling your teapot for comparatively little money? Is it because of the repaired lid knob and the chip? ./download/file.php?id=4486&sid=b5df3556cb...

Re: Yixing
Chadrinkincat I don’t remember either, have to go through it again. In any case I’ve seen a couple of 60 or 70s Zhuni(can’t recall) in real life at friends places. So they did definitely exist. Mark-S that book is quite thick and full of pictures, well worth the money. Investing in knowledge might ...

Bok I am not sure if I am mixing something up, but are they not working on an English translation? So it would not be a wise idea to buy it now. If somebody knows the page count please let me know. Unfortunately, there is no Kindle edition for less money. :lol: The Facebook group is the kindle edit...

Re: Yixing
F1 did use Zhuni. Not much, but there are some. Look up Dr Lu’s book, few are in there, I think only early factory had some. Oh, I did not know this. Is this the book from the Facebook group? If I remember correctly it was too expensive for me. The book is $125-135 including shipping. It’s a beauti...

Re: Yixing
Bok Not at all. But someone here said that I can buy better pot for less money, so I thought that 250 is too much It depends on the clay. Zhuni is very expensive. I do not know the price difference between Zhuni and Hongni, but Hongni pots are easier to find in my opinion. That's because F1 did not...

@Simniak
Agree w/ Bok on this pot.
Yahoo JP auction and a few eBay sellers from JP, China and TW sell pots just like this. Likely not handmade and probably newer than 90’s.

Re: Yixing
Speaking of hongni and yancha, anyone have experience using super thin pots like these? I’ve been pondering the idea of getting something similar for yancha. Also any vendor recommendation for one?
