Is it just me, I am conditioned to click "like" every time I read a post on our forum? There are so many great posts already ... and all so readily available for reading/viewing.

But I am repeatedly disappointed when I realize I am not on FB.
Not on FB either.

Re: Bad storage pu-er cakes, vendor declines a refund. Any way to rescue?

I will second breaking up and airing it out. You could send me a cake to try and rescue minus a small chunk upon completion. It has been said I have a knack with some storage things I do. You could also try to super humidify it but be careful to watch for any mold starting if you go this r...

I haven't really traded before, and my cupboard hasn't been updated/uploaded, but I do have a somewhat dormant steepster account

Re: Introduce Yourself

Nice to meet all of you! Or to rejoin some. I go on and on about tea in different places--sorry about that getting to be a bit much, if it does--but I'll still introduce myself here. My name is John Bickel and I write a blog about tea, Tea in the Ancient World, based out of Bangkok these days, but ...

Re: Introduce Yourself

How long have you been drinking tea? I've always been drinking tea to some extent but I only seriously got into tea two to three years ago with Japanese greens but then I got hooked on puerh and other dark teas. What kind of tea do you drink? I drink mostly Chinese teas: usually puerh with shou and...

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello All! How long have you been drinking tea?
I've drank iced tea since I was a kid and tea bags in my teen/college years. In the last 5-6 years I've started to get into loose leaf tea. What kind of tea do you drink? Pretty much all "pure" teas (white, red, puerh, oolong, green, etc). I generall...

Did Bitterleaf Teas go by a different name in the past? The style of wrapper looks familiar, but not the name of the store.
Seconded. That is the only label I have seen them under. They do use their own wrappers to rewrap cakes though. Jonah has a good palate and finds some good older stuff.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

2016 Chawangpu Nannuo Shan Gushu I remember sampling a bit when it first came in to see where to store it. I pulled 10 grams out to brew with. Cake is looser now that it has had time to settle a bit. I tossed the leaf in a warmed brewer and it gave an almost sweet alfalfa note. I rinsed it and got b...

Re: Introduce Yourself

mrmopu/mrmopar depends on where I post. Mainly addicted to puerh with a decent growing collection. Albeit my grandson will probably get most of it. Preparation is normally gong fu . Western on occasion as I have too much teaware as well. Living in Virginia near Blacksburg but no teafirends close by....
